Questions & Answers

Would you be able to recommend a place where I can buy ?

In order to be safe, I recommend contacting the manufacturer directly.

Can they be protected with some sort of cover/covering to keep them dry and clean?

The cover does not protect from the elements. In that vein, the original cargo buckles were more than 15 years old before being replaced. A little lube after a rinse and they're good to go. A couple of them were on the front side, so they caught all the schmegg. The original 4 images are still accessible from 2 of the 4 original frames. This is a great

What is the degree of waterproofing of As I would like to mount it on the trailer of my pontoon boat, I am concerned about wet/dry cycles. ?

Ratchet is steel, and strapping is nylon, and strapping is similar to seatbelts. Water does not bother me at all when I have it on an open deck trailer.

They can be bolted to the wooden deck of a trailer, right?

It's possible for them to. A bolt can be used to fasten them to almost any surface. For my wood decked trailer, my bolts were installed on the angle iron of the floor (the sides).

This is a very convenient product that saves time
3/5

I ordered a 4 pack of these since I haul an ATV to the job site every day. Tie down is a snap with ratchets like these. The straps won't tangle all over the place as they used to. Additionally, they are always mounted right there in the middle of the space As a result, they You can ratchet the wheel back in after removing it. I gave it a 3 star rating because it is durable, and that is the only thing I considered. About a month after using the device, the rewind spring will lose its tension and stop rewinding. In order to get it to wind back up, you have to play with the handle. 2 of the 4 cases so far have been like this. An older CargoBuckle still works and seems more sturdy than the ones I have now, which are about 8 or 10 years old. It is important to keep in mind that we use these every day, regardless of the I think there would be nothing wrong with them if you used them occasionally or for light duty.

It's not excellent, but it's good enough

It is difficult to work with these because of the limited range of motion of the ratchet portion. Here's what I want to say. Ratchet handles can either be in the open or locked position, depending upon whether you are using the belt or not. If you have finished tightening the belt, the lock position would be the position where the handle would be placed. Toward the end of the ride is the freeplay area, where you tighten the belt to your heart's content (think of the way a socket wrench In this area, there is perhaps a two-tooth swing. There is more to do than that. It requires using both hands to free up the ratchet handle and get back to the ratchet area, because the ratchet handle is often stuck in one of the two end positions. Despite its visual appeal, I am not a great fan of the steel gauge on the sidewalls. There is no reason to think they will fail, but there is reason for concern as well. In addition to the belt material, the hook is excellent as well. Though they are a great idea, there are ways to improve on them. It's a good fit for me. The following are a few bits that I found useful and some things I found frustrating when reading other reviews. With the purchase of a MC trailer (The Ultimate Trailer), I received three of the CargoBuckles. I purchased four more because they were totally sun-baked and looked unreliable, so I bought them not knowing what their previous history Since the originals had weathered so badly, I laid some E-type down, instead Tracked CargoBucklt and added it to its e-commerce platform The setup can be improved by adding adapters. With them removed, I can lock my car safely while I take a trip and leave the bike on the trailer for a few days. When I return to the trailer, I can replace the Condor SC 2000 chocks and the CargoBuckle ratchets. The gear will be protected from the elements and will probably last for many years. It did cost some money to set this up, but it adds flexibility, reliability, and security.

The following are the differences between the two

Secondly, the mini G3 (both are awesome After reading the reviews I bought this and the smaller F103745 Mini G3 and have been very happy with both of them. These were originally intended to be used for a custom 8' roof rack bar that fits across half of my factory roof rack to load sheet goods safely and I plan to lock a few of them down to secure the sheet goods. A high level of quality was achieved in the build. The mini G3 actually helped me lift my mining rig after I was unable to figure out how to safely lift the top half of the metal shelving unit without damaging the unit by ratcheting one corner and screwing the other. Although it took a little time to lift and lower, it did so without any problem. The hook installed and released easily and I was able to lock it in place as well. I may have damaged the rubber portion, but obviously it's metal under the rubber, so I don't have to worry about how durable it is. In spite of the fact that I have many traditional ratchet straps, they are cumbersome and difficult to use as well as costly to store. Since I carry the mini G3 in my car until the custom rack is completed, it will come in handy with my roof rack I already have. The automatic ratchet acts as a safety device when I was hauling my mining rack A pair of them were attached to the rack and mounted on top of the stairs. With CargoBuckle, the strap retracts automatically as it retracts, unlike other ratchet straps that would require manual adjustment of tension. If there is tension, the strap will stay locked in that position in the event it retracts. As I moved up slowly, I wasn't required to touch the straps since my rig (pictured) was on a roller that rode on two wooden boards, and the straps automatically locked every time I needed a rest. Although these things weren't designed for this, it did save me the trouble of getting the rack out of the basement rather than risking it. I only wish that the straps were a little longer, but that is the only thing I can think of being negative. A ten foot deck would be perfect, but like anything, you can't have it all. Although it is not a deal breaker, it is not insignificant It is a really nice strap and I know it will come in handy to me for many years to come (I hope).
