Are you into sprinter vans? Your installation would work fine. I would use silicone on the thread of your fasteners to prevent water from getting into them.
There has only been one Well Nut that I've seen or used so far! The length should be between 1" and 1 1/4". While I didn't measure one, I thought about it. The ones I used to mount my truck mirrors can't be measured because I tried to use them to mount my truck mirrors.

The isolators I replaced on my 96 Jeep XJ upper AC condenser were an unproven product, so I tried these out and liked them. These worked well and were a great price/quantity combination. It worked great with a longer bolt, and I now have extras for the future. These were a little longer than factory, but still worked well.
Every time I work on my son's Sportster, I have to run out to get some. Since I purchased a package of 10, I now have a supply of these in my possession so I no longer have to go to the HD dealership. Using two of them to replace the ones on his horn, they were a perfect fit and replacement for the originals.
It is a great product at a great price.
