I used wing nuts because I couldn't find the original nuts for the device that held picture frames together while gluing. Locally, finding knurled nuts was difficult and expensive; these provided me with a lifetime supply at a very reasonable price and functioned identically to my originals. I could make a lot more frame holders with a few 14x20 threaded rods.
Many people have commented on how well the brass and walnut stain contrast.
These were ideal for securing the blade to the custom bow saw I designed. It contrasts nicely with the walnut that has been finished with linseed oil.
I made bracelet jigs out of these. They're ideal for tight spaces where a star knob or wing nut would be ineffective. They also produce a more elegant final product at a reasonable price.
Everything appears to be well machined and has a good appearance.
I needed something at a reasonable price, and this was exactly what I got.
