It's not possible to install a lock here
The fact is, there's nothing to stop someone from simply walking up and taking anything from your doorstep, but we've had this set up for some time now to keep packages out of sight. If something is left on our porch, I think it is better to hide it than to leave it in plain sight for potential burglars to see.
It does not require a drill to open the box. Plastic makes up the box, and it is quite large. It would be difficult to hinge the lid of the box because it has a raised lip. It would, however, be drilled through by any drill bit
Although I am not exactly sure what type of plastic this is, it is thick and heavy duty and I assume it is PVC. The support holes and hinges for two latches and two hinges were drilled without difficulty

There is a lock box on the Y locker. I turned it into a locked box very easily. We installed two hinges on both sides and secured them with padlocks. During package delivery, one is locked, while the other is unlocked so that the mailperson can lock it when they are done. I fixed it to the mailbox post with an eye bolt and it works great. I also added a little sign and colored the "delivery" part so that it is more easily readable.
What are the chances that it will be used? On 10/01/18, the following has been updated By filling in the word DELIVERIES with silver paint, the effect was achieved! Packages are now being placed in the box by everyone. Thank you so much for this purchase! I'm very happy with it. The box is beautifully designed, large enough to hold pretty much everything. Large packages that fit on the stoop of the front door as easily as possible. Our new home does not have a porch or a stoop to shelter packages from the rain. So I bought the box to protect my packages. In terms of design, it complements the colonial style of the home perfectly. In the front of the box, there is a stamp that says Deliveries. I used a silver marker for that. It would be much more useful if any one would actually place packages into this box (including Amazon drivers).
You're the best! A delivery box is necessary for us since our driveway is gated. As a result of hearing the advice of others, we installed hinges for the lid so it won't separate. As with the other words, I filled the word "DELIVERIES" with gold nail polish. In addition to mounting the box through the bottom, we mounted it to a concrete pad so it won't This is a highly recommended book.
This is for keeping my delivered packages dry on my porch when they are left uncovered. I have an uncovered front This makes them more secure as well, as they are no longer visible from the road or even on the porch (unless they are lifted). With its well-fitting lid, the outside is completely dry no matter how much rain falls inside. Despite years of use, it does not fade and fits well into most traditional decors. could be that it has a visible "Step 2" imprint on it, which I am not fond of. With the black box, this does not attract your attention, but I wish it was not visible. Having it say "Deliveries" does draw your attention, but it doesn't hog your In fact, I would prefer that the Deliveries word was in a contrast The delivery people may not notice it at times. The address is now included with the line "leave in black box on porch" so that I only have to write my street address on delivery addresses. The fact that it has helped them use it has helped. I am surprised at how much this box holds as it does not look very large on my porch. When I was considering purchasing a larger box, this one was the best option I could have found. This box keeps things completely dry, looks very nice, and is big enough to accommodate even large packages. While I would prefer a box that wasn't plastic, any comparable box in a different material is 10 times more expensive. Product recommendation I would highly recommend this one.
My packages are safe from porch pirates, and I love the way it looks. In the event of a leaking porch roof, it also protects package contents from rain. added a sign and used gorilla glue to make it clearly visible to the delivery crew. I have so far been pleased with delivery drivers who have happily placed my packages inside unless they're too large.
You can use it guys. You will need a permanent Sharpie in silver, and you will need to fill in the DELIVERIES word lots and lots. Your house number should be right below that at the same font size. The only time my package has been left outside of the box was when USPS team is running late, they throw it on lawn, but it doesn't matter since it's their fault that they're Additionally, drill one hole in the lid and container, and put a nice knot in the twine to prevent it from blowing away in the wind. As a final precaution, I laid down a 20 pound bag of pebbles to prevent it from slipping. It wouldn't be a good idea for you to take the pebble out of the original bag then watch if anyone stole it. It isn't always the case that thieves are so smart.
A delivery person who is unobservant is another matter. A parcel box was needed since our new home does not have an overhang over the front porch, so packages were at risk. This one is great as well Having been out there for two months now, it has done its job well. It is something that should be done The majority of delivery persons simply ignore it and throw the packages on the porch, as if it were a non-issue. You can even do it in the rain. was able to get the weekday Amazon driver to use it after I showed him my request in their system for them to use it (after I met with him one day and looked at the system for that purpose in the Amazon system. His attention had never been drawn to As honest as ever, he told me, "That's what that box is for. ". "). Weekend guy will still leave The rain was pouring. Now let's move on to If I had one suggestion with this product, it would be to make the wording "DELIVERIES" stand out a little Would it look good if it was colored? What about offering a sticker to go along There's a box where it says "DELIVERIES", but I guess that's not clearly stated?.
Keeping items out of sight and protected from the rain should be easy with this box. Despite the fact that delivery people sometimes leave the item on the porch anyway, it is still called "should. ". I am glad to say that this box was much larger than it appeared. During a strong wind, it could easily blow away because it is so light. The bottom of the hole has been filled in by a large concrete stepping stone. The mesh can easily be attached to a post, fence or wall by a competent DIYer. An easy way to do that would be to drill a hole in it. It is very important that a sign is erected on or near this structure, as it is unclear what the purpose of the project.
