There were no instructions, as far as I remember. (I had my old mailbox and post replaced with a Salsbury aluminum Those holes match those on the newspaper holder. Their post has a plate and hole pattern matching those There was only one thing to do bolt them I think I had to purchase the nuts and bolts myself. The post you purchase from them is much simpler to install aside from digging the post hole, it's much easier to install. You could use a piece of outdoor treated lumber to make a custom adapter plate that fits between the newspaper holder and whatever post you have, but you'd have to be handy with cutting and drilling, which will be much more involved if such a thing is possible in your case. Unless the mailboxes and accessories are all manufactured by a single company, I believe the mounting schemes for the mailboxes and accessories do not share the same mounting scheme. If that's the case, then the whole system will probably fit together with only a little trouble. It seems like a nice idea in your head, but when you feel that nothing really fits together, you realize it's a nightmare. To make this work, you should be able to do a bit of DIY.
