The box size I bought was 12X12X4. There is a 1/4-inch difference between the inside and outside of the box because the side panel is 1/8 inch thick, which is 1/4 inch less on the inside. The hinge makes the box look bigger outside, as mentioned in other reviews, with the outside lid being 12 inches. Five X thirteen. The one I picked up does not have the stand off tray, but looks to be the same box, just not with the extra piece of plastic, and has four stand off posts on each side. Additionally there are two mounting holes in each of the corners that have raised lips surrounding them, making the inside of the rear of the box less than perfect. If you need a flat mounting surface and plan to use all of the corners, the posts and raised lips could be in the way however, they could be ground down if needed. There is a slight overlap of about half an inch on the outside of the box so the space on the outside of the three sides is about three inches without the hinge. It is 5 inches long. If you cut the door overlap, ANYthing mounted through the sidewalls of that area will protrude unless you cut through the sidewalls. There are approximately two feet on each side of the hinge. There is a step back of 5 inches before the hinge is revealed.
The enclosure works well for alarm panels. I am unable to make sense of the product listing. There are two versions of the 12x12, one with a backplate, and one without. The model with a backplate is more expensive. It is likely that the smaller 8" unit would have been the better choice for my project. I missed its existence when ordering. As a result, I have a lot of empty space in mine. And I could have saved about ten dollars. It is what it is. My need for non metallic is due to the fact that I am putting a Z-frame You can use wireless equipment with This unit is rated for outdoor use with NEMA 3R. In spite of this, I wouldn't use it in the outdoors due to the holes. Even so, some people suggest to cover the holes and use it outside. Indoors, it is used as a panel box for an alarm system.
Following a shopping trip to the big My search for a solution has ended. The cables are well made and the price cannot be beat. They are intended to cover up cables coming within from outside the house. Even after exposure to the hot Arizona summer, they appear in good condition. The product is not warped, bowed, or cracked! The same house paint was used on them, and it does appear that they have not cracked or peeling. It is possible to pop out the tabs, but I did not need them. Since I didn't need them to be waterproof, I didn't need them to be waterproof. An extra security feature that I really liked was the option to use a small padlock. Using the keyhole option, it was a breeze to mount. The box is of good quality. This is a fantastic product! I highly recommend it! Thank you for reading my review. I hope it was helpful.
Look at the attached photo, this is the label that comes on the package when it is delivered to you. Furthermore, there is no removable tray inside. I was looking for an electronic enclosure to house a large 50 A 12-volt power supply. In my experience, this case has been very reliable and It was necessary for me to cut a large hole so that a fan could be installed. Drilling was hard, whether you like it or not. Be prepared to drill or cut this box if you plan to drill or cut it! I'm surprised how thick the plastic is! It is a sturdy, well-built product for the price. I highly recommend it.
It's a bit pricey for someone who doesn't have a lot of money PVC plastic control panel box that appears metallic (I believe it is plastic). Although, I should be able to use it for my oven control panel, too.
These are several of the things I have. keep the electronic equipment in dusty outbuildings clean because they are not exposed to the weather. I need just what I need, and I can get it for a lot less money.
Served as a home for an It would be nice if there was a latch on the door but there isn't one. If you plan to use a padlock or clip, you must provide it.
It worked perfectly and I was able to get all the controls I needed to control my portable solar charging system. It would have been more useful if it had included a removable panel on the inside which could be used to mount parts on, so you can keep the box water tight and bolt heads are not visible on the outside.
