Questions & Answers

How do I choose black when the pictures show a black and white base?

Please accept my sincere apologies, but we are currently only equipped with the black base.

How big is it?

It measures about 4" x 2" in size.

What is the center-to-center distance between screws, as well as the screw size?

The screws are 2 1/2 inches apart from center to center. Because I used industrial velcro to attach the flag to my metal mailbox and discarded the screws that came with it, I don't know the screw size.

Is it possible to embed this in the brick itself?

I attached it to the mailbox's front door with screws. The screw that comes with it, in my opinion, is not designed for brick. It serves the purpose of preventing the need to drill a mailbox into the brick.

It appears to be the ideal solution for those who don't have a mailbox flag
4/5

I recently moved into a new home and discovered that the mailbox is almost completely encased in a brick "stand," which is fantastic for preventing mailbox batting-in. What's not so great is when the builder doesn't figure out how to get the red "mail-box" to go up. for- pick- up" sign. Sure, I could drill a hole in the brick to mount a mailbox flag, but that wouldn't be the prettiest solution (other neighbors did it). As a result, I was delighted to discover this title on Amazon. br>br>I just got it, and it's already on my mailbox lid. It's that simple. The flag is made of two pieces of extremely thick plastic (one red "flag" that swivels from the other, black, piece that serves as its holder). Two mounting nuts and bolts were also included in the package (I would recommend including two locking washers as well). I mounted it on my mailbox in less than five minutes with my cordless drill. It looks fantastic and appears to perform admirably in terms of its intended function. Unfortunately, it is too soon to make any predictions about its long-term viability. br>br>Hopefully, the mail-in ballot will be successful. I'm sure it'll be preferable to jamming a red "flag" into the mailbox lid, as I've had to do in the past. I'll admit that it appears to be a little pricey for what it is, but if it works well and lasts a long time, it will be well worth it. I think this is a great solution for the problem I was having, and I would recommend it to others. If the need arises, I'll revise my review.

For Brick Mailboxes, this is a fantastic Mail Flag
5/5

Because our brick mailbox lacked a flag, I had no choice but to leave it open when sending mail. We came across this product on Amazon and decided to give it a shot. The small red MAIL flag easily opens to notify the mail carrier that outgoing mail is present. It's simple for them to shut it. It appears to be very sturdy, and it beats leaving the box flap down all the time! We would strongly recommend it to anyone looking for an alternative to the standard up/down red flag.

It's ideal for a brick mailbox in need of a flag
5/5

A brick mailbox would look fantastic with this. Because we don't have a flag, the mailman frequently fails to pick up our mail. We didn't want to drill anything into the brick because that is extremely difficult. Instead, we hung it on the front of the mailbox, which took only a few minutes. My only criticism is that it is so expensive.

It's a little pricey, but it's ok
4/5

The concept is fantastic, but I believe the price is too high for only two pieces of plastic. br> I was told that the mounting holes would be 2 and 3/8 inches center to center, but this is incorrect; they should be 21/2 inches. Before the product arrived, I built a fixture to help center the work. But, hey, we all take chances now and then.

Probably the most effective way to add a pending mail pickup sign to an already bricked-up mailbox
4/5

It appears that a 3D printer was used to create it. I'm not sure what to say. We have a POA that requires a bricked-up mailbox, and there's no way to install a red mail flag without drilling into the bricks, which is strange. This device was simple to set up and operate; I'm not sure how long it will last, but so far it has performed admirably. I knew it wouldn't be cheap, but I decided to go for it anyway.

It's a brick flag, of course! We send a lot of encouragement letters to family, friends, and neighbors, so I was going to the post office almost every day, which worked out perfectly! I wish I had found this little unit when I was buying my house 15 years ago
4/5

Because we have strong winds in Texas, I've noticed that it occasionally sticks out a little and doesn't completely stay in its holder. However, it isn't a bad situation.

Mailbox flag that is adorable
5/5

This mailbox flag is both adorable and unique. A brick pillar houses a mailbox for us. It was built in the 1960s by my husband's great aunt. On the outside, there was no flag, but there were shards of a previous flag on the brick. I don't have the skills or tools to replace it on the brick, so I bought this one to replace the mailbox door. I like how simple it is to use and how little space it takes up.

At various times, I've purchased three of these for my children's three new homes
5/5

They're fantastic. It is very simple to set up. The postal carrier even inquired about ordering one from one of my daughters, stating that many people in the neighborhood were in need of one. It is highly recommended.
