If you mean depth, you could get it if you were brave enough to run it through a table saw blade. However, because the grommet and cover are made of rigid plastic, you won't be able to make any other changes to them.

After reading reviews on this and similar products, I decided to go with this one because it seemed to be a good deal. Because several reviews mentioned issues with the size, which I assumed were due to the tools they were using to drill the holes, I also ordered a Freud Forstner bit (which I have found to be of excellent quality and always precise), and after receiving both, I drilled a test hole in 3/4" cabinet grade plywood and tried all ten grommets. To be firm, all ten had to be seated all the way down, but when fully seated, they were all snug but not too snug. I can see how a plug could snag and pop the grommet out if multiple cables were fed through the hole. To avoid this, I would secure the grommets in the hole with construction adhesive. However, unless there are any issues during use, I will simply seat them fully. They're made of a plastic that appears to be the same as that used in many cabinet grommets. br>br> Although not as long-lasting as stainless steel or metal, it is significantly less expensive. br>br>Overall, these grommets and caps have met my expectations.
They arrived promptly and in good condition. br>The plastic used to make these appears to be of good quality and not cheap. They were a perfect fit for the hole I made with my 1. Hole saw with a 5" diameter (To avoid a rough hole on either side, start drilling on one side, turn the piece over, insert the center guide bit into the hole that came through from the first cut, and finish drilling completely through. )br>One word of caution with the 1. Larger plugs may not fit through the 5" hole, so measure the size of the plug end before choosing a grommet size.
Although we only required two, I believe we can share them with others or use them to neatly bring cords up from within other built-ins. This product appeared to be the most cost-effective. br>br>We invested in a 1. We used a 5" Forstner bit to drill the hole because we didn't want to damage the desktop surface like we would with a hole saw. br>br>The grommets were a perfect fit in the holes, snug enough to prevent them from moving. Others who had reviewed the product thought it was small in comparison to their 1. 5" holes. This was not the case with ours, possibly due to the bit we used.
This is exactly what I was looking for to cover up the holes in my desk. It's only flaw is that it's a little too small. To keep the grommets from falling out or being pulled out, I had to use grip tape on the outside. The only suggestion I would make is that the company provide the appropriate hole saw or slightly larger, better-fitting grommets for a 2" hole.
These are actually sleeves that fit into the hole you just drilled, followed by a plug that fits snugly inside the sleeve. This is just a smidgeon ahead of the competition.
They work fine in general, but the cover hole is small enough that if you run a standard power cable through it, there isn't much room left. Only by removing the cover and treating it like a large round grommet was I able to use them. I tried to make the cover hole larger, but it was nearly impossible to do so neatly. br>It would also be nice if they came in a shallower version so that you could put them in opposite sides of a cabinet hole (I used them for cables through vertical partitions where both sides are visible). Alternatively, a two-sided version with the two sides snapping together in the hole would be ideal.
It's easy to set up. Drill a hole, insert the product, slide the cable(s) through the product, and cover it with a cap. It's not an issue. Everything fits perfectly, and the top is nice and flat. I have one power cord and two Apple iPhone power cords. Everything appears to be in good working order, and the caps do not come off. I'd suggest it.
My husband despises seeing all of the wires needed to charge devices. He makes it his mission to go to Goodwill and buy boxes to turn into charging stations by drilling holes in them. They're ideal for this project, though you'll need a hole saw to complete it. They simply pop in after that has been drilled. Awesome!.
