I carefully measured the wire "hole" in my island countertop/desk and was pleased to discover that it was a perfect fit. I was ecstatic to get them, but they wouldn't go into the pre-order queue. a hole that was drilled Rather than returning them, I carved the "threads" from the "stem" and was able to make it work.
These items hide a large hole while allowing wires to pass through a smaller hole. What? That is, in fact, a thing. br>Before these lifesavers, I used to spend the majority of my day trying to figure out where the spare change on my desk went. Now that I've figured out the mystery, I'm able to get a lot more work done. br>Now I'm wasting my time writing reviews for things that appear to be self-contained. self-explanatory.
This item does not come with a 1 1/2" bore hole. The required size is 1 3/8", so even the spade bit that comes with the item is incorrect. Amazon's measurement guides are inaccurate and deceptive, and the seller's note to "allow for minor differences" is a farce.
These are almost exactly what I was hoping for, and the size is correct. However, because the hole is closed on all sides, it cannot be used for anything that cannot pass through it, such as a power cord.
1. 5" was the perfect length for power cords to be run through built-in shelving. It looks fantastic! That's exactly what I needed to complete that home improvement project.
A 1/2" hole saw is required. Use the appropriate hole saw size (I used a 1-inch hole saw). 1/2", which was actually a fraction of a pound. 5". The fit was extremely tight as a result of this. To make the item fit, I had to shave off the ridges. Make sure you get the right hole saw size by measuring the actual dimensions.
This is a DeWalt 5 inch spade bit that fits perfectly. If anything, it's a little looser than I'd like, so I'll use Saran wrap or plumbers tape to tighten it up.
In the hole, everything is a little sloppy. This item is not worth returning. product is not to my liking.
