Rubber grommets are the most common type. Unlike other reviewers, I couldn't tell the difference between these and the others I've been using since the late 1960s. They're soft and well-made, with no visible mold seams. br>br>The set includes standard donut-shaped through-holes. Grommets and plugs can be cut through the plug area to pass wires through the larger plug type grommets. This enables you to plug a large hole in the rubber while still running wires through a much smaller hole. This is ideal for auto repairs and home improvement projects.

The EWP 44 grommet came in handy when I needed to thread a 0 gauge cable with a 7/8" terminal through a firewall. Rubber grommets have the advantage of being able to be squeezed and stretched to allow larger items to be threaded through them. That's what cable glands are good for. Overall, I'm happy with it because it worked out perfectly for me.

Our 1951 Chevrolet truck's wiring is original, but the original grommet had vanished at the point where the wires penetrated the fender well, posing a problem. br>This set was hard to pass up at this price, and the simple process of replacing one of the grommets solved the problem of a short when the lights were turned on. br>There's no need to overthink the fix; The wiring does not need to be replaced. br>All it takes is a quick fix to get us back on the road. br>br>I plan on using this set to repair our 1951 Chevrolet Sedan Delivery as well. Because the rubber is soft and pliable, putting them in place should be simple. They also stretch well, allowing you to stretch them over larger connector ends. When only a single or two wires need to be run, the completely sealed grommets are ideal for cutting a small slit into. When running a long cable through a hole, the others are ideal. These are required to protect wires from the sharp metal hole through which they pass. I would definitely buy from them again.

The material is adequate, a firm rubber, but not as rubbery as I would like. It had a softer plastic feel to it. br>br>The size and variety are nice, but the isn't very helpful in letting you know what size square is which; a grid with the sizes printed would have been much better. br>br>Next time, I'll just scribble down the exact number of grommets I'll need because I realized I didn't have enough grommets of the right size and far too many I'd never use.

The grommets serve as conduits between the interior and exterior walls of my doublewide trailer. The installation is for a security system, with Nightowl cameras mounted on the trailer's eaves on two corners. The best way to install the system was through the attic vents and out the trailer's "skin. " The grommets provided a good path through the trailer's skin, protecting the wire from future electrical shorts.

br>br>I bought this kit because it's supposed to come with genuine rubber grommets, not the flimsy plastic grommets you'll find elsewhere. It is, without a doubt, genuine black rubber. They're soft and easy to work with, and they fit and look exactly like the originals. I also like that there are some blanks, though I wish there were more. Overall, this is a fantastic kit that I won't mind keeping on my shelf for the next ten years.
