So no, I don't think a cow triggering it on its own is a good idea.
If the gate does not have AutoClose enabled, you can close it manually after entering by pressing a remote transmitter, keypad, or pushbutton. If AutoClose is enabled, you can set this time for the gate to close automatically after it reaches the fully open position, anywhere between 6 seconds and 60 minutes. A new Ghost Controls automatic gate opener kit does not come with AutoClose enabled out of the box. br>br>We appreciate your interest in Ghost Controls and look forward to hearing from you.

This is a basic wireless keypad with no bells and whistles. You won't be able to control it remotely or schedule it. You can, however, purchase a spare controller with a wireless relay switch, as I did. If you connect them to Alexa, you can program your gate to open and close on a schedule. You can do all sorts of crazy things if you add a door sensor to the mix. br>br>In my photo, I've mounted the keypad on a "Mighty Mule Powder Coated Black Keypad Mounting Post" and added a Eufy battery video doorbell to see who's at the gate. For me, this set-up is ideal. There were no problems at all.
The keypad is well-made, but it would not open the gate or recognize my master PIN despite following the enclosed instructions and watching a YouTube video. On the second day of calling, after several hours of waiting for a Ghost Controls Tech, I finally got through to one, but he hung up. take out your phone I called back on the third day and was on hold for hours, then it was after hours. br>I'm out of patience and will write this off as a total failure. The keypad isn't cheap, and I wouldn't recommend Ghost Controls because of their poor customer service.
Programming seemed simple at first. Then it happened, like some strange mode that allowed any number to open the gate without having to press the send button. So I took a battery out to reset it, and then I had to reactivate the programming mode, which is simple but inconvenient. br>I enjoy the controlled, but it appears that a firmware update is required to resolve this issue. Aside from that. . . There are no issues.
This product appeals to me because it can be programmed with up to 20 access codes, allowing you to give people who require access a code that is unique to them and easy to remember. It also has the capability of storing codes that can only be used a certain number of times. If you need to give a code to a contractor or delivery company who only needs access a few times, this is a great feature to have. The instructions were simple to follow, and the unit was simple to program. If you have a remote control with the opener code already programmed, you can use it to program the code into the keypad. This unit was purchased to be used with a single gate opener. Overall, Ghost Controls' products have left a lasting impression on me. I'm eagerly awaiting the release of the Zombie Lock so that I can install it and ensure that my gate is not only shut, but also locked.
There are a lot of options, such as "party mode" or setting codes to expire after a certain number of days. There are no wires (yay!). I dug a trench across my driveway to connect my dual-drive system. This came as a relief to the gatekeepers. br>br>I gave it four stars because I believe it is missing one key feature: the ability to conceal the keys used solely for programming while leaving the keys used every day for entry exposed The number keys and the "send" key are all that a typical driver needs to see when approaching this keypad. The pad is made more confusing by the other keys. A simple silicone plug that fits over the buttons and hides them from view could easily solve this problem. So, Ghost Controls, how do you feel about it?.
The Ghost gate motor is the best, far superior to the five Mighty Mule products I've owned over the years. They're good for 12 hours. Repairing the circuit board (which is constantly soaked in condensation and fails) costs as much as buying a new one after 15 months. The wireless keypad is also very functional and well-lit. br>So far, this gate and its OUTBOARD circuit board and controller have impressed me. DO NOT BUY A GATE OPENER WITH A CONTROLLER INSIDE THE MOTOR ASSEMBLY. The number of times it fails will irritate you. br>This WILL NOT fit a ROUND 3" metal poll, despite what support claims. I had to modify the Ghost pole mount with the help of a welder to fit the wider pole (metal) that most people would have, rather than the 2 inch pole that their hardware was designed to fit out of the box. GRRR (and I called B before placing my order to make sure that this minor detail was taken care of. ) They were apparently unaware that there are large metal gate poles available for metal farm gates.
A second one was required for exiting vehicles. UPS, FedEx, and visitors were tired of having to limbo under the structure next to the gate to enter a code on the entry keypad in order to leave. I didn't get the steel mounting arm that was available, so I made my own out of wood. It wasn't difficult, but in retrospect, purchasing the mounting arm would have been far more convenient, and it would also have looked better. I'm probably going to get the arm and redo it now anyway. As a result, I recommend that you purchase the mounting arm. So far, there have been no issues with the pad.
What a thorn in my side. These key boards are not only difficult to pair with the gate, but they also won't allow you to open the gate with multiple keypads. You can only use more clickers if you have them. This, I believe, forces you to order their pricey pressure sensor or purchase a large number of remotes for your gusts. You'll need a lot of patience to program the keyboard. I feel like I've been duped.
