Ghost Controls created a separate lockable battery box (ABBT) to prevent acid leaks from causing permanent damage to the system control board. We've known for nearly 20 years that leaking acid from batteries causes permanent damage to all internal components of the system controller, just as it does in other consumer products.

I'm looking for battery terminals of a certain size. 187 or a zero. 250 ?

They were, I believe, included with the. On the cables, there are 250" terminals. I'd already used to make cables. To fit my current mighty mule system, I needed 250" terminals. If not, the terminals will be available at my hardware store, auto parts store, Lowes, Home Depot, and other similar locations. For 8 or 10 terminals, you'll pay a couple of bucks. Typically, the crimper/stripper used to apply them costs less than $10. I'd look into the old cable for you, but I'm currently in the hospital 250 miles away.

Yes, you can power a competitive system with the Ghost Controls ABBT2 Battery Box Kit and two 12V 7Ah batteries. Many people are complaining about the price for a plastic box with a couple of wires, despite the fact that it is only made of plastic

But if you do need it, it's ideal: it fits two 9AH batteries perfectly, looks great, and is well-made. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is that the spade terminal connectors are too small to fit on most 6/9AH batteries' standard terminals. Because they are 3/16" wide instead of 1/4" wide, you will need to replace your battery terminals or cut a small piece off.

For the gate opener, the box keeps everything tidy and professional. We've never had a problem with power running low because I have two solar batteries in it. I'd give it five stars, but considering it's a plastic box with wires, the price is incredible.

It does what it's supposed to do. The battery box holds two batteries for your gate and provides excellent technical support. Installing with care – Because the box is plastic, it will 'warp' if screwed to an uneven surface like slumpstone. Make sure all holes are aligned with the box.

For a dual gate, I purchased the entire Ghost product line. The products and instructions are of excellent quality, and I am very pleased with them. There are no Chinese translations available. The parts are of the highest quality and are manufactured in the United States. I give it my strongest endorsement. In a heartbeat, I'd order from them again.
