It's no surprise that the world is in such a bad state. My originals, which came with the mighty mule gate opener, have nine dips, and so do my aftermarket openers.
Are they gto or mighty mule remotes? If so, keep dip switch 9 in the middle on our remote.
These remotes are only compatible with GTO and MIGHTY MULE gate opener systems, as stated in the listing.
All GTO and Mighty Mule gate openers with 9 dip switches will work with these remotes.

The following day, the remotes were sent out. Each of the three remote controls had its own box, which was contained within a larger container. Setting up these remotes with my mighty mule remote was a breeze. Simply copy the pin placements; these remotes have 9 pins compared to 8 on the mighty mile, and the last pin cannot be left in the middle. It will only work if you raise or lower it. These remotes come with a battery and work three times as far as the MM remote. If I ever needed more remotes, I'd purchase them again. I believe that the majority of negative reviews are the result of people failing to read the online instructions and failing to move the last pin to the up or down position. You won't have any issues with these remotes if you do your homework before buying, as I did.
It's important to pay attention to the settings on the DIP switches. br>Like the original GTO remotes, these remotes must be programmed with your specific gate code. Remove the two screws and the back of the remote if it is known to be working. There is a 9-hole golf course nearby. The programming station is controlled by a DIP switch. It's worth noting that each switch has three positions. Up, down, and in the middle (floating) are the three possible directions. This applies to both the original GTO and these guys: once you've noted the exact configuration of your original, program the switches on these new ones in the exact same positions. It appears to be functional.
I had a problem with the original order and couldn't get it to work. I tried different batteries, moved switches back and forth, and double-checked that they were the same as the original opener. I couldn't get it to work, but I must say that this company has gone above and beyond to make things right; they offered a partial refund or a replacement for the defective opener; I chose the latter and it is on its way. This firm is highly recommended.
The price is reasonable, and the product performs admirably. Installing it was a breeze. I bought a total of six. For the past ten months, I've had three of them and they're still going strong. I purchased three more so that I can have one with me at all times. br> They were on time, easy to set up, and can transmit up to 320 feet from the gate when there are no major obstacles.
br>br>I usually sit in front of my gate and activate the mighty mule 3-way remote. To get it to open, I had to push it open 5 times. To get it to work, I usually have to unclip the mighty mule remotes and point them directly at the opener. Then I got these remotes, and man, are they better in every way. They work from a much greater distance, are far more reliable, and were simple and quick to program using the learn button. br>br>The only drawback is that they are a little too large to be worn on a key chain. If you don't mind having a clumsy keychain, removing the clip isn't a big deal. Alternatively, you can keep the clip and put it in your car, skipping the key chain part. br>br>I first purchased a universal remote that was much smaller, but it was not compatible with my gate. For one remote, I spent $30. I returned it and replaced it with this one, which came with three remotes for the same price.
These are just as good as the mighty mule remote and are a lot less expensive. I'm very pleased with them. I made a mistake when programming the first time, not realizing the switches were in the middle position, and had to open it up again to switch the ones I didn't move the first time; I didn't check to see if the instructions said this, but it might be useful to mention.
The trio consists of My Mighty Mule 857 gate opener came with a button remote that had a problem right out of the box. Without a hardwired solution for gate control, the MM kit was reliant on a WiFi remote. Because the included MM three-in-one WiFi device is unreliable, I had hoped to use it instead. From my house, about 150 feet away and within line of sight, I used a button remote to control my gate. The MM remote, on the other hand, has a fifty-foot range. The remote gate openers here are powerful enough to control my gate from inside the house and can be programmed in seconds.
