Hello, is your cabinet's lock hole located in the top right corner? If that's the case, this lock will do the trick.
I was unable to duplicate the keys. It came with two keys when I replaced the lock. which was the exact number I required. I haven't been able to locate anyone who can duplicate the file lock keys.

My Hon 4 drawer file cabinet was the perfect fit. On my cabinet, I couldn't find a model that matched this lock (SRS 2185 - SRS 2185 - SRS 2185 - SRS 2185 - SRS 2185 - SRS 2185 F24 HON HON F28) as well, so I've attached photos of the lock so that others can see what it looks like.
Although my file cabinet did not come with a lock, it does have a latch. I'd like to have a child. I was able to find this specific lock on Amazon and proof the file cabinet with it. Although the lock did not come with any instructions, I was able to find an installation video on YouTube. I start by removing the file cabinet's top drawer. The finished product should resemble the image below. The template will fill the oval hole, and the pin will secure the cylinder lock (you'll have to push hard). I align the hook into the lock hole by placing the flat side of the hook against the cabinet's sidewall. The hook is then lowered into the latch slot as I turn. I used the latch to secure the hook by bending it upward.
This appears to be a simple task to complete. I played with it for 30 minutes until I saw a you-tube video. I watched a video on YouTube and learned that I needed to bend the tab that fits into the lock bar. There were no guidelines provided. I had it installed correctly about 5 times, but I tried different methods because you have to modify the part. br>Overall, I give it 4 stars after learning that and having it installed. It's a good deterrent, the key turns easily, and it wasn't too expensive; however, it appears to be easily broken, and instructions are required.
As expected, it functions properly. It's very easy to set up. It's a no-brainer for me because I am a handyman/diy enthusiast. According to what I've read, it doesn't come with instructions, and some customers have expressed their dissatisfaction with this. One of the reviews has nothing to do with the lock at all. If someone can come here and do a search for what they need while also being able to place an order, it shouldn't be difficult to find help on YouTube. That's all I have to say about it.
The old lock could not be removed. I tried removing the retainer plate with pliers like in the video on YouTube. br>br>I now have a deep cut on the knuckle of my right index finger. It's possible that stitches are required. br>br>Plate remained stationary at all times.
I had to look up how to install it on the internet because there were no instructions. For a while, it felt like "one to hold the light bulb, four to turn the ladder," but once it was installed, it worked perfectly.
Because there were no instructions included, I had to watch a YouTube video to figure out how to put it together, but once I did, it was a breeze. I was concerned because my filing cabinet is 15 years old, but it worked perfectly; it took about 12 minutes to find and watch the video!.
Despite the lack of directions, this was a simple peasey. However, before installing, I would recommend doing a video search. br> Then everything will make sense, including where everything goes. All that was required were a pair of needle nose offset pliers and a flat head screwdriver. as well as a flashlight.
