The same can be said for our lakeside vacation home. or a mountain retreat; or wandering through the woods It can be parked wherever we want. You never know where we're going to appear next! We like to feel safe in our camper, just as we do in our house. The use of universal locks is common among manufacturers. Everyone in every RV park or campground has keys to everyone else's camper because they have key sets for everything. br>br>While the majority of RVers are aware of this and are extremely open, there is always a sense of vulnerability. And non- These universal keys are easily purchased online by RVers (camper booglars). br>br>This set perfectly replaced the CH751 universal locks on our exterior access doors. Any or all of them can still be opened with a single key: However, it is THE KEY THAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR. There isn't another one like it. This allows honest people to stay honest while keeping dishonest people out. These are worth their weight in gold because of the security they provide. With an adjustable wrench and a Phillips screwdriver, you can easily install these if you have universal locks. I believe you will retire to your bed. Knowing that whatever is in your camper will always be there when you return allows you to relax and enjoy your time there.
These were ideal for a client project-- On a couple of reclaimed barnwood dressers, he wanted locking doors and drawers. For each dresser, I needed three locks. I bought one set of locks to make sure they were what I needed, then bought the second set a few weeks later. I took great care to keep the two sets of dressers separate while building them, assuming that they were keyed differently. Then, by chance, I discovered that both sets of locks, all EIGHT of them, were keyed the same way. This customer isn't a problem, but I'm hoping that lock sets from this seller/manufacturer aren't all keyed alike!.
I bought this to keep my kids out of my china cabinet. I had to drill a hole to make it fit because my china cabinet didn't have one. I ended up buying two different sizes that didn't fit because they were too short, so I went with this one and it fit perfectly. I had no trouble getting it to fit and it's lock, but I did have to bend the end because it was hitting on the side piece when I tried to lock it, but that's because my china cabinet is built for a The best part is that it has successfully kept my children away from my china cabinet.
I was sick of buying Cam Locks that would break almost immediately after installation. It disintegrated, broke, and bent, among other things. br>This Cam Lock was made to last; I was able to tighten it as much as I could without the threads stripping. I can't think of anything bad to say about these Cam Locks. I did buy some extras to have on hand in the future. I'll buy more of these when the opportunity arises.
I misplaced my mailbox key, which you can find on Amazon as "Polar Aurora Mailbox," so I had to break the lock to open it. I came across this lock and decided to try it. It's simple to put together, and the lock is of excellent quality, having been manufactured in Taiwan. My mailbox key is now in my possession. The purchase was a great success.
These locks didn't cause me any problems at all. They were simple to install on the item (a standing tool box), and the process took only a few minutes. Once the locks were installed, I had no problems using them.
Although these locks are reasonably priced, their quality is only adequate. I had trouble with the lock fixture spinning when turning the key, but I was able to tighten it down. These are more of a deterrent, but with a strong screwdriver, they would probably be easy to break into. It's convenient to have multiple locks that all use the same key, which is why I chose this product.
br>I had to use the old tabs, but that was not a problem because the hubs were identical.
