The knob came with a screw that was much too short for a typical cabinet door and couldn't fit in a drawer. Finding replacement screws that match the diameter of the knob and are fit to the doors and drawers but not too loose in the existing holes is quite challenging for me. If I cannot find the right screws or if the screws prove more expensive than the item is worth, I will return it.
Beautiful reproductions of vintage pulls, these cabinet/drawer pulls are sure to add vintage charm to any room. It's just a little thing However, I never received any screws in the package, even after paying for 6 handles (a great price). The Seller admits they are in China and they are located in, "we live in the US" The company was unable to send me only 6 screws, so it opted to refund me 2 dollars and let me buy some locally. Since I am in no way perfect, I use my ability to forgive others as an allowance. It is human to make mistakes, but it is also human to forgive. I would like to buy six sets of shotguns with the money you gave me back.
In order to plug the gap left by the washer, I also used washers. The rest of their work is.
These knobs are much nicer than the ones that came with my new armoire. I didn't like the ones that came with it. since the doors are 3/4 of an inch thick, and the screws were not long enough, I had to make my own. It took me a couple of trips to two different stores to find replacements. The length was easy, but the diameter is not a common size. The young man at the hardware store was able to find the perfect fitting (after a couple of attempts). The numbers I can recall are from some time ago, and I apologize for not remembering them. These were metric scales, I believe.
Because I was keeping a vintage cabinet that I was redoing, I purchased these. Although I had some other vintage handle hardware for the cabinet, the drawers needed knobs instead. The hardware is a great match for the cabinet, and they complement the other hardware nicely. A couple of the screws were a bit too short for what I needed, but that was the only complaint.
It was necessary to buy two packs of these knobs, since I needed a total of seven. As soon as I opened the first pack, I noticed that the screw holes didn't seem to be threaded at all. Having tried several knobs, I opened the second pack and all of them worked perfectly! Evidently I was given a dud shipment. In order to get the knob on the dud pack to work, my husband used a drill. If you need more than one, you may have to buy more products, so be careful, as you'll need to buy extra to get the number you need.
Excellent quality, as stated in the advertisement. There were too many screws provided for my cabinets and drawers, but I solved the problem by adding a couple of small washers. It may have been wise to pick up shorter screws from the hardware store as well. The look and the ability to replace the boring knobs on our cabinets with something pretty is something I love.
There is a nut on the bottom of the handle, which I thought would come off, so I can install it and then tighten, however, it won't come off. To make it work, hot glue it to the top worked perfectly for me since I needed a handle for a project at the time. I was not able to get the strength I was looking for this way.
