Questions & Answers

The clapper can be plugged into a power strip, but how?

The majority of users here will tell you yes because they did it without issue but I strongly advise you not to connect it to Neither a ground hole nor a mounting option are included. It can be viewed as a liability therefore. In addition to Your power strip will determine how much you can use. Don't forget to use a surge-protected power bar and just be wary of power surges. You need to make sure it is not Firefighters always have this kind of advice. In the past, I have seen 3 story buildings burn to the ground over negligent use of power strips. The fact that you asked the question, however, is praiseworthy. There are millions of people who just jump right in without a second thought.

This is a good light to use as the main light in a room, isn't it?

The electrical plug of the light must be present for it to work. Plugging the device in between the wall socket and the plug completes the circuit. As I mentioned above, it is not a wireless device. I hope this helps to answer Because it is built into the ceiling and has its own dedicated turn-on, it won't work with it. On the wall, there is a switch.

Is this product able to be plugged in to a power strip rather than directly into a plug? There aren't enough outlets to use the lights on our Christmas tree, so I bought an extension cord. ?

Why wouldn't it work? I think it would! Although ours is plugged directly into the wall, I can't imagine that this would have any effect on its performance if it was

There are two plugs on the clapper, do I need to plug in two ?

There are two ways you can plug in a lamp one lamp and the extension cable that runs across the room to the It would take three claps to turn on the second outlet if both outlets are in use. Clapping twice will turn off/on the first outlet, and twice turns off/on the second.

If the outlet is completely blocked, there is no point in buying it
3/5

My favorite concept is The Clapper and I had one years ago, but the first time I tried it, I had the same issue as I had years ago. My first thought was that the functionality may have improved with time. We're sad to say that it hasn't. Returning it was a good decision. Most people cannot hear the claps of the contraption unless it is out in the open. While lying in bed, I got tired of having to clap 16 times in order to activate the device. As a result, 90% of the time I had to bend over to reach the outlet, defeating the purpose of the outlet. It would have been easy to turn off the light myself if the light was going that fast. My charger was plugged into an outlet behind my nightstand. So you could only use it while completely out in the open and unimpeded by any objects. But at this point, I think it becomes more of a hassle than it is worth.

I say, “Clap on, Clap Onnnn, Come On!” There is no hope for me with the random, temperamental, and often time-consuming operation In my experiences with The Clapper over the past few months, I have found the following to be true If the clapping are not uniform in sound, it is unlikely to be activated
3/5

Clops that are strong and followed by ones that are slightly lower in force will not work. 1) The timing of the claps has to be perfect. It won't work if two claps are too close together. If the claps are too far apart, they will not be heard. I often find that it comes on even when I do not clap, like when I walk into the room, close a closet door, or tap the wall during intimate moments before going to bed. There are times when it has its own mind. As a result, it has been inconsistent for a while! I wouldn't recommend it for someone who needs consistency. It's now comical, but it's not for someone who requires it. Wishing you the best of.

I was surprised to find it worked so well! The Clapper commercials have been on since I was a child, and I swore I would never buy I had to turn the light on at night in order to get my father out of bed because he's visually impaired
5/5

In the dark, he couldn't find the switch for the lamp, and I didn't want him to try to walk to the wall switch. The Clapper is something I remembered, and I decided to give it a shot. Upon installation, it worked right out of the box and took less than five minutes to set up. The lights are now safely on in my father's bedroom, so he can get in and out of bed with his hands clapped. This product deserves a lot more attention than I have given it I've seen a profound change in my father's life because of it.

It's the clapper's time to live! Makes sense that it would be a good gift In fact, most products are not, and in fact have been proven to be inaccessible to people who are 80 and older Using olds for a new purpose
5/5

It is not uncommon for people with memory problems to still be able to clap despite having trouble pressing a single button. There are some interesting differences between young and old when it comes to the speed of clapping, and older people seem to have the timing down better than younger ones, which is refreshing. Furthermore, they always seem to have a smile on their faces when the light comes on after clapping. The clapper is alive and well. If more products worked as simply as the clapper does, the world would be a better place.

It leaves me feeling a little The arrival of this product was so exciting to me, It leaves me feeling a little The device has been very inconsistent in how it operates
3/5

I was so excited to have it arrive but it hasn't worked as I expected. As I wanted to make sure I used it correctly, I provided myself with enough time to clap before turning it off or on. However, there are times when you clap and it does not operate. I am unable to turn either of the two devices that it controls on or off regardless of which one I try. I sometimes have to try five to ten times before I get it working. Also, it appears to just turn off on its own without any noise or clapping. I am wondering if it is a defective unit and may need to get It was great to have it Even when you clap in the proper way, it doesn't really work, so you still need to be very careful. I have tried being as consistent and careful as I could, but I'm still having trouble. I hope I can come up with something that works well and achieves this goal.

A clapper is one of my favorite things
5/5

Even though they seem silly, I'm going to do it anyway. A clapper is one of my favorite things. I used to have a much larger room when I lived in my old place, so my floor lamp was always far from the bed when I slept. As an admittedly lazy person, I do not look forward to doing anything. Perhaps you will not mind hopping out of bed to turn off your light before crawling back into bed. What good is it to live like that? Instead of turning off the light, why not stay in bed and cuddle up beside your loved one? The thing I miss about it is that in my new place my neighbor lives below me and his bedroom is under mine, so now I am without it. If I woke him with my night time clap off for some reason, I would feel bad. When adjusting to a new and improved clapper lifestyle, there are several things to consider Please make your clap game the best it can be. A couple of weak mutual hand taps just won't cut it. If you clap, you have to do so The claps you make must be sharp, and they must be serious. Make sure your sensitivity is set correctly. In case the clapper is extremely sensitive and the area where you hang out has a lot of traffic, you might drop something and knock the light out. Everyone is having an awkward moment right now. Put it to the test. Feel free to take a look As a joke, you should buy it. If you do, be sure to enjoy your time to the fullest.

The product does what it's supposed to do
5/5

For my wife, I purchased this so she can control the lamp on her nightstand without having to stretch from under the blankets to it. We expected it to work just fine. There is a large amount of sensitivity between the timing of the claps and the volume (loud is needed), so experimentation was necessary to get the "feel" for the best Once mastered (not a big deal), it has proved to be a very reliable/functional product. The clapping has been going smoothly for over a month now.

You're either going to have to clap perfectly or not at all! My family has watched the commercials since I was a child
3/5

I encourage you to clap. Let's get it over with. The most obvious thing to do is to clap twice. The process is simple. There are clear instructions on how to install the software. A clear explanation of how to use the machine is provided. Hold on, wait for a few moments, then There is a flash of light. If you are not in. It is here where the problem is. If you clap, you have to do so The technique only works if I clap very loudly while cutting my hand. Both claps have to be about the same loudness if one is too loud but the other is not, it won't Whenever I wanted to activate The Clapper, I needed to clap 3 or 6 times to get it going. So loudly did I clap that I was pretty sure I was going to wake up my children. It was a strange feeling to think that in a few days I would have mastered it and it would now be second nature, but no. I wasn't able to perfect getting uniformly evenly spaced claps to make it work. There should not be this much difficulty. I adjusted the sensitivity setting to high, but it failed to resolve the issue. In spite of this, one night I coughed twice and the light came It just wasn't meant to be. While I don't know if it was because of the device, I found operating The Clapper extremely frustrating, annoying, loud, and damaging to my hands. There is no way this product could have lasted this long if they are all this bad.
