As all my flood lights were flood lights, I converted them to led lights, the springs of these are flexible, so I had to shorten them.
do not believe so, as they are not designed for auto applications
There is no point in stretching these There are maybe one or two of them. There are 25 to 1 in this sentence. Each is about five inches, and they are Although you might be able to stretch it out if you really pulled hard, if you really went for it, it wouldn't bounce back. This consists of having enough spring/stretch to connect the trim pieces together and pull the trim down, but is tight and springy enough to keep the trim flush with the ceiling and keep it staying.
In short, yes. It is my belief that it is. In total, I had about 2 to 3 Between my canister lights and the trim fixture there is about 5", and these worked well. Keep it simple and don't overdo it Make sure you stretch the spring as hard as you can

It was impossible to find them in any of the large corporations or mama/papa shops in town, so I looked up on Amazon and found these plus they were exactly what I wanted. The installation instructions are easy to follow, so your device will be working like new in no time!.
It took 3 to get a replacement and 3 to get it in. They were the only ones I found on Amazon that fit, even though the metal is thin and stretches easily.
I use it to hold the reflector ring of my recessed lighting against the ceiling tightly. The springs were stretched out a little when I removed the old ones when I was painting my house. I didn't remove the lights and unhook the springs through the hole, so I am responsible for my own actions. To unhook them, I pulled the ring down with needle nose pliers, as if I was still a dummy. Whatever you do, don't do it. You need to turn off the light.
Their installation is made so much easier thanks to the additional loop, not present in the originals. I love how handy it is.
An existing fixture needed to have its springs replaced. This was not a Halo, but it worked just fine.
As well as Halo, they're working on other brands as well. The ones I was looking for couldn't be found at my local big-box These springs have been used to replace springs on several recessed lights, and I am very happy with them. Their team of developers is also involved in other brands besides Halo! In a pinch, my electrician tells me you could use the springs from ball point pens to replace these! While I have not tried it yet, I just wanted to share in case it helps anyone else looking for new.
This is the perfect spring to replace worn trim rings in recessed lighting.
This is what I bought since I do not know what type of springs they are. A needle and thread are all I need right now - A quick turn of the nose pliers and BOOM the new spring was in place. It took less than 30 seconds for me to install a new spring. You won't have to worry about sagging rings anymore. It's a woo hoo!.
