The AV311S series is used legally in Maryland and Virginia for low voltage applications 12/24 volts and cat5/cathode ray tube applications. There were no issues with building inspectors or building officials. Product of high quality.
It would not be a problem in my opinion. Wires can be accessed easily through this bracket if Sheetrock has already been installed.

It took me less than five minutes to complete. Running the cable would be so much easier if it were that simple! In my experience, this product would be an amazing gift for friends and family members. The product is excellent.
With this product, I was able to accomplish that goal. Since the whole installation is low voltage, I did not need a single gang box, this bracket worked perfectly for cutting into the ceiling and walls, then adding a single gang plate for the jacks. This allowed me to run banana plugs directly from the speakers to the inputs. Even someone with simple carpentry skills should be able to accomplish the task without too much difficulty. To make the holes fit, I recommend cutting them just a tiny bit smaller, then trimming to fit, taking care to ensure that the tops and bottoms are parallel to each other and square. Making sure the holes are well marked before cutting them with a good drywall saw is a good way to avoid oddly shaped holes and out of level You can certainly patch it up afterward, but it takes time. I did look at mounting brackets at my local hardware/lumber mass merchandiser on the day I installed it, but their solutions were fourfold more expensive and inferior in both (The corporate colors of the company just happen to be orange. After UPS ground took a few days to deliver, you'll likely not be quite ready to receive them when they arrive anyway, since you have to do all the setup work and run the cable runs.
The installation worked perfectly for one day, but appeared to be quite flexible and flimsy. Although the pawls are nice and large, they swing back into the work opening before they are tight. This is due to the lack of a stop preventing the pawls from being shackled. It was not as bad as I could still reach through and grasp the pawls until they began to grip the sheetrock, but it did make installing around pre-plucked wires a little more complicated. There are very long screws and stops for thick walls (plaster, I suppose) but they are simply too long for standard 1/2" drywall, and they tend to get in the way when working from the back I think that packaging everything individually with instructions might be a bit I wouldn't call it the worst, but I'd also not call it the best.
I bought these to use with Keystone wall plates so that an ethernet cable could be run. I was pleased with their performance. After cutting the hole in the wall, tightening the plastic flaps down, the flaps were securely in place. Attaching the wall plates was easy once I ran the cable through. Everything looks as if it was always supposed to be this way.
Although I was able to force it, I'm worried that when I remove the cover plate, the screws will no longer work. Although it may be a defect in just one unit, I had to apply considerable force to get the screws to go into the holes, and one of the screw heads slipped several times, causing some damage to the Screws of this type can be easily inserted.
In my case, the purchase was to serve as a mount for the camera.
Compared to the ones from the hardware store, this one are a bit thin and too thin. However, due to Covid, they were out of a lot of stuff, so I'm unsure when we will be back in stock. Although it did not accomplish what I wanted, it did its job.
We love these brackets because they have made RJ45 jack installation so much easier. The bracket makes a great measuring instrument, and a small level can be used to align it. The fact that it is solid/tight in dry wall and that there are predrilled holes for the mounting plate makes things so much more dependable and efficient. I cannot believe I had gone all these years without seeing.
