Our Coleman Mach AC unit's blower motor had failed in our 2004 travel trailer. It would lock up and have to be pushed or kicked to get going again. I placed an order for one for the day it finally gave up the ghost. I was fortunate in that I was able to replace it before that day arrived. Because I'm afraid of heights, this wasn't the most amusing thing I've ever done. My travel trailer, unfortunately, does not have a built-in ladder, so I borrowed one from a friend; it took me a few hours; the whole capacitor thing was a little strange for me to deal with, but I was fine; I just had to be extra careful when removing the squirrel cage and not damage the fins. But, regardless, I was able to install it successfully, and it has been performing admirably for the past four months, and it is significantly quieter than the previous one. While I was in there, I also took the opportunity to completely retape the inside of the AC ducts near the control panel with HVAC tape. There were many unfilled gaps, which allowed air to recirculate back into the return, causing the AC condenser to completely freeze after prolonged use. I no longer have this problem after retapping, and the airflow through the ducts is also significantly improved. Overall, this was a great replacement part that hasn't failed me yet, and hopefully won't for a long time.
As stated in the advertisement. After watching a few videos, it was simple to install. Instead of risking a shock, I simply cut the wires to the capacitor before the grommet and used butt connectors on the others. Are you being overly cautious? It most likely worked, but it did. This motor is extremely quiet when compared to the original. I'd make another purchase.
Because the bearings on the motor on my Coleman Mach AC unit were worn out, I bought this to replace it. It works flawlessly and is much quieter than the one I replaced.
My Coleman Mach model 8633 on my 2004 Fleetwood Southwind was a PERFECT fit with this - color codes for wiring - Installation time is one hour. plus about 50 rpm over stock, resulting in an increase in airflow that is noticeable.
It was a perfect fit for my coleman mach A/C. It spins at a slightly higher RPM than the original, but it is neither noisier nor quieter. All of the wire colors were also the same. There are a number of YouTube videos available to assist with the installation.
Colemen 3 for my RV is an exact replacement. Before you begin, I recommend that you watch some of the online videos. The original motor lasted 6 years before it needed to be replaced. I'm so impressed with how quiet this motor is that I'm thinking of replacing the one in my bedroom air conditioner.
Ordered a fasco motor, but received a different motor that was slightly larger than the fasco, resulting in bolts not matching up to the plate that held the motor. I had to drill out the original holes in order for the motor to work. Also, it's a lot louder.
