I'm pretty sure it goes in the opposite direction. The dimensions of the product are 9 x 9 x 6. I'm not sure what the diameter of the blower wheel is.
If you were looking for a replacement for your model fan and came across this, it should fit. I can confidently state that it is a suitable substitute for your model.
Hello, the best way to find the dimensions is to go to Nutone's website and look in the specifications. My guess is that the model numbers must match or the item will not fit. Before you do anything else, double-check that the electric is the same. Good luck
This will not work in the QT80NB model; instead, a S0695B000 is required.

The aluminum shield of the model that was replaced was stamped 8814 8663 8673, and the motor was labeled C-. 53581 JA2C271G 115V 60 HZ JA2C271G 115V 60 HZ JA2C271G JA2C271G JA 1550 RPM at 60 amps. This model has a different amperage specification. The cut-out, like a few others, out for the electrical wasn't quite right and could have used some trimming with a file or a tinsnip. I didn't bother because the fan and light plugs were already in place and didn't bind. The glass cover on this model is extremely heavy, making the spring clips difficult to support; a couple of The additional support provided by sided mounting squares beneath appears to have been sufficient. The entire process took less than 30 minutes, including clean-up. It is a quick and silent runner. My purchase has made me extremely happy.
As other reviewers have pointed out, certain older models that are being replaced appear to have slightly different dimensions for the cutout that fits around the two-piece assembly. duplex outlet with three prongs I figured I'd show some comparison shots. When viewed as shown in the photos, the cutout begins 59mm from the inside of the left side in my original assembly (stamped with "NUTONE, FOR USE WITH MODELS 8814, 8663, 8673"). The cutout in the new assembly begins at 64. 5mm from the left side of the assembly. br>br>The assembly will not slot into place as- The outlet is supposed to protrude through the cutout, which it doesn't. As a result, I had to remove a small portion of the metal, as shown in the photos by the hatched area. I was lucky enough to have a scroll saw on hand, but if you don't have one, you're in big trouble. br>br>With the exception of this flaw, it appears to be a good 1-star rating. There is only one substitution. The motor and fan assembly are included with the unit, but I disassembled it for photography and cutting. P. br>br>P. br>br>P. br>br>P. Also, the metal piece's edges are EXTREMELY sharp all the way around in the photos. Just picking it up gave me a good cut, so be careful.
This was a replacement for the older NuTone 8814 (not the 8814R for which it was designed), and as others have pointed out, the power plug opening did not align perfectly, preventing flush mounting. Although the fan's power plug could still be connected, I wanted it fully seated with no exposed prongs. I used tin snips to enlarge the opening by 1/4" and bent the lip downward to keep it out of the plug's way (see attached photo). The new fan and motor perform admirably.
When our bathroom exhaust fan stopped working, I assumed I'd be out of luck because the product was easily 25 years old. Years ago, I replaced the fan assembly after finding it at a local electrical supply store (this was before the internet). These are the days of the internet! Because the electrical supply store is no longer in business, I turned to Amazon for help. I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to find what I needed. "Nutone Scovill Model 8814, 115/120 V 60Hz, 0. " is imprinted on the metal of the model I was trying to replace. 7 AMPS". "Nutone Scovill FOR USE WITH MODELS 8814, 8663, 8673" is stamped on the fan assembly replacement I previously purchased. (If you want to see pictures of this, go to this excellent review, which is about the same set-up. ) up to par with my own: I read previous reviews claiming that the hole cut-out was inadequate. There isn't a perfect fit for the electrical plugs. This was true for me, but I didn't need to cut the hole any bigger because the lightbulb and exhaust fan plugs both fit in each outlet. In less than 5 minutes, I was able to install this. It's a cinch to use. It passed the "toilet paper square test" with flying colors - Hold a square of TP close to the fan vent and release it; if it sticks to the fan vent, the exhaust is sufficiently suctioned (not a scientific test). The only thing that may annoy some people is that the fan is much louder than the previous fan assembly I was using. That doesn't bother me as long as the shower steam is removed from the space. In fact, because this fan assembly is more powerful than the previous one, it clears the room much more quickly.
A 27-year-old Nutone fan motor was ordered to be replaced. The sheet metal component on which the new motor is mounted is the right size to fit into the existing box. We'll get the set screw hole to line up. I had to cut out enough metal with snips to accommodate the two outlets in the fan box, which the part number said was a replacement for several different models, including mine. It's not a major issue, but it's worth noting. It will take you about 20 minutes to complete this task. The replacement should be worked after making the rectangular opening for the electrical outlet about a half inch longer. The new unit vibrates and as a result emits a considerable amount of noise. The original made some noise as well, but the new one is 60% louder. For myself and my family, it is intolerable. Trying to work out a solution with the seller. My advice is to keep your old fan for parts if you order this to replace it. Because the old squirrel cage fan is likely to be quieter than the new one, it can be installed on the new motor. Unfortunately, mine was thrown out in the trash and is no longer available.
The good news is that this was by far the simplest mechanical product installation I've ever done: I simply removed a screw, inserted the replacement fan, which fit perfectly, and replaced the screw. It only took a minute and a half. The good news is that the fan only does a mediocre job of removing steam from a small bathroom. To be honest, I'm not sure if the fan it replaced was any better because it had been broken for a long time, but it's certainly better than nothing and may be sufficient for others. The ease with which it can be set up is a huge plus. The noise level is a little higher than I'd like, but it's not as bad as the fan it replaced.
