I had to double-check my plug because I hadn't noticed it when I installed it. However, as you state, it is plugged in. We have no plans to replace our dryer's cord, so the converter plug will remain in place until the dryer that required the conversion fails. This is a very heavy-duty cord, and I don't see why it needs a 'temp' label.
I'm not sure what you're trying to say with your description. I've included a photo of the unit. I used it to convert a "newer" dryer with a four-prong plug (220 volts) to work in my house, which only had a three-prong electrical outlet (220 volts), by plugging the green ground wire into a regular 110 outlet. That's all I have to offer.

I literally blew up my brand new dryer. a waste of money.
It was repaired, but then it fried again - This time, the manufacturing repair person did the installation. I had it fixed once more and went to Home Depot - Since then, there have been no issues.
When I first moved into my new apartment, I discovered that the dryer had a four-prong plug. I looked on Amazon in the hopes of finding a 3-in-1 adapter. 4 prongs. They did have one, yes. It was a perfect solution. If you require this service, give it a try; it will save you money over purchasing a new dryer.
I was concerned that it would not be considered a valid code (or that it would cause other issues). However, I sold the house with the connection installed, and it passed all city, private, and FHA inspections. I am ecstatic!.
At Home Depot, I was told that the only way to fix my dryer was to have it rewired with a four-prong, four-wire plug. This is what I found when I went to Amazon. After being plugged in, the dryer works perfectly!.

The product has not been tested by the Underwriters Laboratories (UL). Could cause a dryer fire, resulting in the loss of your valuable dryer as well as your family's home. It would be far too dangerous! Returned. Before selling to the general public in the United States, the maker must have these tested and rated appropriately. Amazon should not advertise these "electrical items" until they have been tested and approved by the UL, or else it risks being held liable as well. There are far too many dryer fires that are deadly!.
