Questions & Answers
Replace the cord with a three-wire cord for proper use with the gfi. This will ensure that the gfi functions properly. It's possible that a two-wire cord will work, but it's best to be safe and use the same exact gfi.
My pool filter, on which this is running, is in storage, but I believe the end was tapered to fit a variety of sizes, with the exception of one grommet.
The wire for a 20 amp connector will be 12 gauge.
This plug does not include a cord; however, you can use the one that came with your equipment.

We have an above-ground pool that is equipped with a low-cost pump. A GFCI is installed on the outlet, and a GFCI is also installed on the pump's plug. When it's been exposed to the elements for several summers, it can become finicky. We replaced the old plug with this one after having multiple problems with it. It was simple to set up and functioned well, but it only lasted a few summers before needing to be replaced. I'm okay with doing it every couple of years for the price of the end result and the ease of installation. Since the protected outlet comes with a built-in GFCI, I'll probably just cut the GFCI end off next time. It is most likely causing more issues than it is resolving. Extra GFCI, in my opinion, would not provide any additional protection. The smallest amp will blow up. As far as I am aware, each line only requires one GFCI.
I bought a new plug and power 110V hot tub and burned out the original gfci attached to the cord; thankfully, with the help of the internet, I figured out that I didn't need to buy a new cord at all, just the gfci plug. Right now, I'm incredibly grateful! It is extremely simple to set up. It's a cinch to use.
The terminal screws are clearly marked for easy assembly, and it worked the first time I used it, and it has remained on my pool filter ever since. There has been no entry of water or moisture. This book comes highly recommended. It's worth noting that this plug doesn't automatically reset. Each time the power goes out, you must press the reset button. I had it set on a timer so I wouldn't have to worry about the pool filter turning on, but now I'm back to square one, but the plug works great and fits into an outdoor weatherproof receptacle enclosure.
I placed an order for this plug. Everything appears to be in good working order. br> And it appears to be a direct replacement for another Wellong plug that came with a portable pool pump as a factory original. br>However, this isn't the case. br>NO SCREWS ARE REQUIRED FOR THE REAR PLATE TO BE ATTACHED! There's also no grommet to keep the wire from slipping out of the plug housing! br>I'll take the ones from the old plug and use them. However, is this true? br>Not to mention the hardware that costs 5 cents?.
I was running a 15 amp line 250 feet underground from my house to a camping trailer. I only needed power to charge batteries and keep the lights on. Yes, I realize I should have added it to my panel as a separate line. My problem is that my calendar is full, and electrians are booked months in advance. It safely distributes power and is ready to use. lol.
When the old one on my Sfx 1500 pool pump got wet and fried, it was a simple $6 fix compared to replacing the entire pump, which cost $100. Or even easier to install with only nine screws and all new hard ware, simply remove the old case and unscrew the wires. I recut my wire that wasn't needed and housed it in the new shell. It worked like a charm. The only thing that would have made me happier is if it had included a 1 ph head screw driver in addition to everything else needed to repair a pool pump.
It seems to work well; this time, we put it inside a few ziplock bags to keep the rain out and make it less likely to break. I didn't use the rubber insert on the sides because it kept falling out, but it shouldn't get any water in it because it's in the same place as the ziplock bags. Would Recommend with a score of ten out of ten. This product performs admirably and is identical to the one that came with the pool.
This GFI plug replacement was purchased in the hopes of repairing my old power washer, which had become finicky and then stopped working altogether. The old plug was removed and replaced in 15 minutes, and the washer is now fully functional! I'm glad I chose to repair rather than replace! To order a unit with the correct voltage rating, carefully read the specifications embossed on your old plug, and keep in mind that the white wire connects to the silver screw and the black wire connects to the gold screw.
