Questions & Answers
Note that these will only trip if the maximum current (60 amps) is exceeded for an extended period of time, which according to the data sheet is at least 500 seconds! Note that you can google "Hi Amp Bussman" to find the exact current-time curves for this circuit breaker to trip, but the spec says you must exceed the rated current by a factor of 2x (120 amps) for at least 10 seconds to trip the breaker.
If you're replacing a breaker, all you'll need is ring terminals for the correct wire size, which you can install by cutting the existing wire, installing the terminals, and connecting the terminals to the breaker's posts.

The bussmann brand shown in the advertisement is not this one. It's a low-cost Chinese model that isn't compatible with the Minn Kota package. I put it through its paces and couldn't get it to blow, even at 175 amps. It has a rating of 60. This can result in equipment damage or, in the worst-case scenario, a fire.
If you use a pan head screw to mount them, they will easily break under pressure. Since then, I've relocated to Blue Sea, where they mount and function flawlessly.
THE LANGUAGE IS CHINESE. It will cost you shipping and a restocking fee if you return it. I couldn't figure out how to test the circuit breaker, either. It's now installed on my boat, and I'm confident that Minnkota will not sell me a faulty import. That's why the quality rating is only three stars; I'm not sure if it will work when I need it.
The item functions as expected, but unlike previous models, this newer model does not include a test feature. So if you wanted to use this as a cutoff switch next to the breaker and then use the test feature to open the circuit, you'll have to buy a different brand, but it does the job.
These are the correct 60 amp breakers that correspond to the ad's title. They are, however, dependable and among the best available. I attempted to use the generic chineesium breakers, but they were ineffective. You won't be disappointed if you choose these OEM breakers.
There isn't a button to test! So don't buy this one if you want to test it's functionality once in a while to make sure it works.
Installing it is simple and painless. For your high-dollar investment, you need to protect it.
I was pleased with the product, but the instructions did not excite me. I thought it would be simple, but the instructions made it appear complicated, and in the end, I should have just thrown the instructions away.
