There is a risk of internal arching due to this exceeding the maximum voltage rating. In my opinion, it is not a good idea.

The amp rating of this product will decrease if you use 12 v?

It would be prudent to continue to use the same amp rating until at least the rated voltage of 32V DC is reached. purchased it so I could use it on 12V DC systems.

Fixes my electric trike

Used these to fix my electric trike, but they were hard to find until I got help from the Amazon staff to fit the new version. It has been fixed that I was not getting power when climbing uphill.
