Protects motors from overloads and single-phasing on three-phase systems, which can cause them to burn out.

A total of two fuses are included in the package.

I'm looking for 40 amp small cartridge fuses, not the large ones. Is there anyone who can confirm the size of these?

They're 3 inches long to a tenth of an inch.

A true lifesaver! During the summer, keep a set on hand! In our area, 110 degrees is normal during the late summer and early fall, and it can get even hotter on occasion

We have a good air conditioner, but after a few days of use, the fuses need to be replaced. It was 114 degrees outside and a miserable 92 degrees inside the first time our a/c went out, about 6 years ago, and we had a toddler and family from out of town staying with us. We discovered that the problem was with the fuses rather than the air conditioner, but we wasted a lot of time looking for fuses at our local hardware stores, which were all out of stock. We were fortunate in that we were able to locate the one-of-a-kind item. This is a time type that can be used in a pinch. After that, I went to Amazon and ordered a few of these bad boys! We keep an extra set on hand, and whenever they need to be replaced, I go back to Amazon and order a new set. We get a good deal and have them delivered in a few days (free with Amazon Prime).

I recently installed a new heat pump, but it would not turn on. Because the installers do not troubleshoot, they dispatched a technician, who discovered one of the fuses to be faulty and charged me $145 for the service call.
