It is easy to install
5/5

Simple to install and like buying a new pressure switch for less than half of the cost. Removed the six screws, cleaned out the rust and sediment in the pressure chamber, and replaced the old diaphragm with the easy to install replacement diaphragm included with It was easy to replace the contacts Just make sure not to knock over the spring. Hinge out of place, held in place by screws. It took me a little while to figure out how to reassemble that small mistake. Installation has been completed and we are back in business As a result of the recently rebuilt pressure switch, everything is working as it should. Because the last used pressure switch that I had replaced is still in my possession, I will order another kit so that I can replace the contacts and diaphragm and have it operating again. Whenever the other unit is found to be in need of repair, a replacement unit is ready to go. My 16 years of experience taught me that it is inevitable and just a matter of time. I would definitely recommend it.

Replacing this is not too difficult
5/5

Watching a few YouTube videos and reading the documentation helped me decide whether to order. This gave me a general understanding of what needed to be done. It was only the contacts that I replaced. Although I was surprised at how quickly the old contacts were burned, it was probably the original installer's fault for not wrapping the wire around the terminal posts all the way around. As a result, heat and resistance were created. In order to get some good copper, I had to cut the wires back about an inch. Once the copper was available, I made sure each terminal had a tight loop and full contact with the screw the entire way around. We're hoping this new set of contacts will last longer because of that. Would you believe he just tightened down the screws, covered the wire ends with screws, and then called it a day? Was the guy very unexperienced? What a waste!.

I liked how it worked
5/5

There is a little cotter pin clip thing on the new contactor that the older contactor does not have. Having an old contactor that was sticking on and off got me fixed for a reasonable price. I believe this contactor will last longer since it is fitted with cotter pins instead of the original one.

It was the right fit
5/5

It is better to replace the part rather than switching out the entire In the case of my switch, the diaphragm provided was hexagonal in shape, not circular as is required to perfectly fit the circular plastic housing that screws to the metal body of the switch to activate It is because of these differences in the two components that when the screws are tightened to the original tension the plastic is distorted and one area cracks. There was less torque needed to tighten the screws holding the plastic housing in place, so there was less of a worry that the plastic.

It is a great kit for rebuilding
5/5

Since mine began to leak after 12 years, the contacts just needed to be replaced. My old well pump had been very damaged and needed to be replaced. This was an easy process and I was back up and running again soon after.

Replace with a perfect fit
5/5

The contacts of my water pump had intermittently failed due to corroded contacts, and this worked to fix them. Replacement was a bit of a challenge, but not too bad, and the pump has been working as intended. Rather than having to replace an entire water pressure switch, I'm glad I was able to purchase just this part.
