The one I have has a 4 The main breaker was my leg, the throw was vertical, and the generator was placed two feet away A horizontal throw breaker is located in the upper left slot of the leg. It should be prevented for the other to gain entry into the on position when one is on. It is also possible to turn both on at the same time. If this is true, simply reposition lockout until it cannot be done. It should not matter that it is 1" higher or lower since you have to manually position it and drill mounting holes anyway, just make sure you allow for this.
