To make sure your main breaker and generator's breaker never operate at the same time, this product is ideal. However, the blue liquid that comes in a tube should be used sparingly since when it dries, the plates that hold the screws become difficult to adjust. However, other than that, I think this is a very good.
In order to successfully navigate this, you will need a good deal of common sense. For best results, make sure the fitting is perfect before drilling. A power inlet box and breaker are required for this, which is not kosher by most trades, but the local building code allows it to be used.
I have tested this interlock and it works as intended. It is impossible to have the main generator and a backup generator both running at the same time. Also, it is made from aluminum and has three shoulder bolts and is quite expensive.
The installation process was simple. I appreciate how well made and functional it is.
But please make sure that it fits into YOUR box.
The price seems excessive for what the product is, but the fact that it fits perfectly and it makes for a safe use of a standby generator makes it more than worth it.
Excellent product and I would use it again without hesitation!.
