This interlock failed to perform at par and has a 5 dollar premium with free returns, but I bought it before I found Eaton's. Interlocks from Eaton are beefy, very smooth, precise, and A UL "classified" product is not the same as an UL product, so no UL mark is on this product. They both fit my panel, but it is not yet clear if Eaton's will fit all my panel this one will. However, it is worth a look since they offer free returns, since I have to ship back this one. A link to the Eaton interlock I bought is below.
The drill bit was bent and was expensive. The pros are Installation is easy via drill bit, interlocking device, stickers, two zip ties, thread lock, and instructions are included. It took about 15 minutes for me to install, as I had never done one before. The drawbacks are I think it is overpriced, it's only two pieces of metal, one that has been cut, and one that has oblong holes made by a milling machine, probably costing around $4 to make. To qualify for electrical code standards and for making some profit, I presume the markup comes from licensing. A bit of the drill bit was bent, so I had to use my own, which is a shame because it was a sticky bit.
The pieces of metal are sturdy, easy to use, and you can do it yourself easily. The price is high but it meets code, and it's cheap. There is also a sticker on each page with important warnings.
The system is in good working order.
It was a very easy process and the instructions were very clear. While this may appear a bit costly for you to obtain, it meets Electrical Code requirements and works perfectly.
A simple and easy installation process Everything you need for the mechanical portion of the install is included Taking your time to move breakers, using a hammer bit and proper screws, lock nuts, and loctite, and taking photos before and after is recommended. At the top of the right side breaker row, you need to add a dual 50A breaker.
The features are better than a transfer switch since I can choose which circuits I wish to be turned on by turning off those I do not wish to be turned on.
The supplies you need are two sheets of aluminum, three screws, a drill bit, and a few Since the drill bit bent, it was no longer usable.
