Could you tell me how difficult it is to cut to a size? Will I need any specific tools or machines?

In terms of tools, I have a miter saw and a table The two of them (or even a circular saw) would work fine. Although you could easily cut it with a hand saw if you are familiar with it, I would probably avoid it unless you are experienced with them. As a matter of fact, it is hard wood.

Can you tell me what the difference in height is between this piece and the one it is designed Can you tell me how long the overhang is?

Overlapped by 1/2", it's meant to look nice. 1/4" is the length of the overlap.

What is the approximate size of the diagram? There is no clear indication of which dimension is 1/2" - 1" Does it relate to the vertical or horizontal axis?

A 1/2" piece of material should be overlapping it. Across the bottom of the piece to the base of the overlap lip, there is a vertical plane of A horizontal length of 1/4 inch is measured on the lip.

Where can you find the installation instructions? Should I attach the nails with glue or nails with ?

It is up to you which to use. Between a hardwood floor and a tile floor, I used this threshold. My design was not going to be attached with glue, so I used small finishing nails instead.
