By pulling out the old kerf you can cut the new strip to the proper length to seal your door, then using a 4" wide putty knife to mix the new kerf into the old one cautiously so you do not cut through The blade is hooked on the leading edge of the vinyl and is used to work from one end to the other as you pull it in, you might even be able to push some of it once it starts. In the door jamb, you'll need to begin it in the right place.

There is typically a small space around the jamb where the weather strip can snap into if your door is designed to accept this kind of weather strip. If you want to remove the old strip, simply apply a little pressure against it towards the jamb, and it will Just snap the new strip into place once the new strip has been measured and cut.

There is no way to shut the door

There is no way this door will close with the installation of this door. It is too stiff. In the end, I bought A version of this was sold by D Building Products, and it was much Sadly, this was a complete waste of money and has since been thrown out.

I have the perfect part for my front door

A different method was tried. I have the perfect part for my front door. We tried seals from other companies, but they were not thick enough for the factory gap to be sealed. I'm happy with how they turned out. The door is not made of three pieces, if the door needs to be made of three then it would need to be ordered in.

The new replacement is excellent. This is the only I replaced the old and tired seal a DAY after I replaced the old one, and my cat decided to moult the new Yet I cannot find anything to fault with the product.
