The garage was difficult to open without a little manual assistance. As a result of extensive online research, I initially assumed it required a force or travel Unfortunately, I did not have the original owner's manual, so without the model number, I couldn't find the replacement part numbers. (See picture 3) After pulling the light cover off, I noticed there was no lamp underneath it. Here are the model numbers, NOT the model names. I just wanted to let you know, the top number is There is a part number AC on the circuit board Italics - A. 2666A is the number of the battery and remote control. The number 10211499A is long forgotten to me. In picture 4), that is where you can find the Chamberlain model number and a link to the owner's manual. The manual indicated I needed belt 41A5434--it was not there. There was another belt on page 11, but I found this one, This replacement unit, 11A, worked perfectly.
The conversion process took about 30 minutes without the unit having to be dismantled completely. Watch the following two videos on YouTube as a A YouTube video called "How to Replace the Belt on a Belt-Drive Garage Door Opener" by Sears PartsDirect is available here while "Chamberlain Garage Door Opener Belt Replacement 1280R Liftmaster 41A3589-02" is available here. The force and travel were adjusted before I replaced the belt, so I had to readjust everything once again after I replaced it. To diagnose the situation before you make any adjustments, you should check to see if the belt needs replacing first. You can use the remote control to open and close the garage in order to see the belt operating and assess whether it needs replacing. Despite the belt costing a few dollars more than I could find on other websites, I was able to get it in one day with Prime Shipping. In case you found my review helpful, I would appreciate a vote so that others might benefit as well. In the first place, the time I spent researching replacement parts was way to long since I didn't have the correct model number. The pictures may be of some help to I wish you all the best!.
I was able to replace my original belt with this My mistake was to install the belt at the trolley location after the first breakage, as shown in YouTube installation videos. I observed that the trolley would not go past halfway after installation (after disconnecting from the door bracket) As a result of A door closing safety feature that ensures the direction of closing is up. In order to do this, I removed the belt and performed each up and down cycle. For this to be seen, you need to watch the gear turn at the motor without the belt attached. When you go in the opposite direction, you are going down An upward cycle occurs when you turn clockwise. Close the door (close cycle). Let the trolley get closer to the closed door. Assuming the cycle had not been completed before the break, I guessed that there was still a break ahead. It was easy to adjust the position for both the top and bottom of the belt after I did that and reinstalled the belt (with the trolley closest to the closed door). In fact, it prompted me to adjust the open and close positions on the other two garage openings as well. It's too bad I don't have pictures for this, but I hope I've explained it well enough. You never know where you will end up!.
It was too short. Since I used the door often and didn't want to wait another week to get a replacement, I used a longer bolt to reach the bolt While I was still unable to get it to fit with the tension spring, the distance between the threads was just too great, but it seems to be working well.
Original belt was damaged and needed to be replaced. It may have been because spring tension was too low and the door was too It most likely would have happened again if I had not retained the springs to make opening the garage door more manageable. I replaced my belt with one that is a little shorter than the The rigging would be too short to reattach, but like sailing rigging, it's better to make it too short so we can add a spacer than to make it I cycled the system until it was in the The trolley door is now attached in a - Replaced the belt (detected that the clevis pin had to be removed at the door side in order to loosen the idler pulley and pass the end through it). In order to extend the belt and retainers with springs on the trolley, we used three turns of copper ground wire of 14/0 gauge. The trolley is detached from the door, so that the journey can be tracked. Reattached since it appeared to be in good shape. I love how smoothly and easily the door opens and closes.
I was going to save labor costs by replacing my garage belt that had gotten so worn down that the underlying wires had stripped away. How to do it can be found in YouTube videos. As for my case, there was enough clearance between the rail and the ceiling that I did not have to take down the whole thing, but I could replace it by changing just the belt- Describe the setting. I simply had to undo the pulley cover on the motor and I was ready to go. The old belt should be tensioned to remove it, the bolt should be removed, and then the new belt should be installed as before. To adjust it properly, I tensioned it just enough so that the belt did not fall below the rail, opened the door a few times to let things stretch and settle, and added the lock. The tension remains the same.
We purchased this product to restore our 13 year old Formula 1 garage door opener to working order. This is an easy to install product and it works great. I installed this one in just a few minutes because I watched videos ahead of time and didn't have to drop the old one. (Our garage has no ceiling sheet rock, so I was able to reach nearly all.
Replacing the 15 year old belt on my Liftmaster 2500 was made simple by watching a YouTube video. I was pleasantly surprised with the outcome. It is quite easy to replace the belt. It will save you from having to pay someone to do it. I am not an expert, but it will save you money. It takes less than an hour to complete this task on your own. There are two suggestions for you 2) Order a replacement tension spring since the new one will be pre-installed If not, you might need to use zip ties to reassemble your own spring. 2) The belts seem to come with a life time warranty for the original owner, so it's worth contacting LiftMaster before you buy. I found this to be irrelevant to my situation.
