Since I got my Genie Aladdin garage door opener 13 years ago, it's served me well. One of the doors has always had a bit of a stubborn switch. There was a slow response when pressing the button, and it often had to be pressed several times before the door opened. I bought this non-fume universal in the end since it's gotten worse over the years There is one lit. The switch on the other door is also lit, and while I could have gotten a lit switch for it, I wasn't sure if my system is a Series II (that's the only option available). Simple was the way to go. The switch fit easily into the switch box. You'll only need to connect the corresponding wires from the old switch to this new one. The screw holes are the same size, so I was able to use the same screws. I found it to be a perfect fit. Color is a little too brown for me. I did not get the beige color in the picture, but that does not seem to matter The work is now smooth. You won't have to worry about finger strain or stress trying to open the door. The only items in the box are a switch and two screws. You won't find wires or instructions with this kit. On the internet, I looked up instructions to make sure I understood where the wires went.
In order to replace the Wayne Dalton switch that had broken, I used this. The installation is simple and involves two wires. A momentary contact switch is all it is, nothing fancy. screws for mounting the new switch were included with it. As is the case with the real Wayne Dalton switch, this switch is not lit. As such, this switch does not appear to include an option to turn on the opener's light, so if you need that, you'll have to get another switch. In contrast to the wayne dalton switch, this switch is much stronger and does not depend on a piece of flexible plastic. In addition to finding a screwdriver, the installation took five minutes. As well as being cheaper, this switch is also much more reliable.
It is good news that the Wall Push Buttons for Garage Door Openers I am saddened to report that BOTH buttons came with a wall mounting screw that should have been provided in this case and one very short screw that goes with the wrong product. For the price, a customer would expect the manufacturer to Furthermore, make sure you have your cellphone handy so that you can do some research on how to wire your car. . . . There are no instructions in English or any other language included with either package. It is on the other side of town from the closest big box store. Taking on the wiring diagram and driving to the big box store in search of the correct screws took me an additional hour and fifteen minutes in addition to the time it took to install the buttons. You may be able to tell from the title that I am not all that impressed with this product. Keep looking there are other manufacturers out there who will provide you with the correct parts.
My old switch made a sloppy connection and sometimes I had to try three times to get it to open or close. It took me a while to figure out it was the wall switch that was causing my problem, although at first I thought it was switches in the motor. With this switch, you get a clean connection that isn't confusing for the opener, and it makes a nice click. With this switch there is no more frustration, it is a pleasure to use.
I've tried each of these devices and they've worked great. The door opens up immediately once I press the button, with no delay or problems. There were some issues with our old garage door opener, and sometimes you had to press the button in just the right spot to get it to open, or sometimes you had to push it in just the right place to get it to open. The only thing you have to do is tap the button and the door opens. This is such a cool It is hoped that it will continue to work for many years to come.
It only required a momentary switch to activate the garage door opener, and this tiny guy was the perfect fit. In addition to the usual push button for the opener at the entrance into the house, I also wanted one to be next to the garage door on the inside and didn't want to spend $20 for a big white square button that did the same thing as this $8 device.
It is functional. The switch is very easy to use. This is an easy to install application. It stopped working consistently when it was attached to the original, more luxurious switch. During the time I was analyzing my options, I replaced this with a temporary solution. How long does it take to install fine for a while, but I got a new opener assembly after a while. There was a new switch included with it. This one will serve as a backup in case the new one fails.
A second (third, etc) button for your garage door opener is just what you need. There is no mention of this in the opener's installation directions, but you can add the UNLIGHTED buttons to your opener as many times as you desire.
