My new piece didn't have any screws, and I couldn't get the ones that were already in it out of the old piece, so I just bought 1/4" x 1" carriage bolts with washers and nuts as someone else recommended, and it worked just fine. There are no screws sold at Lowe's that are the same size as the original, which is between 1/4" and 5/16" wide.

A lot of things are sold individually by Genie.
Center line to centerline, the top vertical hole is 2".
- I returned this item and replaced it with the "21 Garage Door Operator Reinforcement Bracket by National". In comparison to using the original door support, using the reinforced bracket provides much superior support.
There is nothing wrong with the original support, but the reinforced bracket does the job much better.
Here is the exact point where it broke, it's where the pivot for driving unit attaches to the While opening the door, I kept hearing a weird pop or snap, checked and oiled the rollers and hinges, but neglected to see this bracket had come loose and bent the center flange until it snapped off. The Amazon website is a great place to find odd knickknacks that I need. A little update After installing the part today, I discovered that it had been bent and distorted. Since the holes didn't quite line up, it took a bench vise, hammer, and large grips to get a good fit, but it worked well once I got it on.
There was some interference with nail heads in the garage door frame, so I used the bracket from the prior opener for quite a while. Finally the metal fractured and the bracket snapped. It still works, even with the steel plate epoxied There seem to have been two separate breaks. It was good that I had this bracket on hand to replace it immediately. It had to be installed slightly offset from the center line to fit, but the clearance with the arm that was inserted is closer, so it works Overall, it has been a good first month. It is now possible to open the garage door. It lasted for years on the other one, so hopefully this will last as long.
It's one of those parts that is easy to find but hard to locate locally. In my old garage door the panel had broken in half, so my new one has to be opened. The price was great, the shipping was fast, and the installation was easy.
That is the exact piece that broke, but it does not come with screws or pins, so hopefully you still have those from before. As a result, I had to bend it a bit to fit my door, but the main cause was probably my door rather than the part. I hope it will last for a while.
