These are intended to be installed flush under the hinges/hasps and struts that hold the panels on the garage door No, it can't be bent into a 90 degree angle. Although, it is made of steel, so you don't have to worry about breaking it if you know how to bend it.

I installed this bracket without any issues and found that the steel used was heavier The original small bracket tore away from the door when we had a spring break. Here is what I replaced it with. I used a drill and a socket bit to do it in about 5 minutes. My size panel could be adjusted to fit the stand.
According to the description, it is a good product. Other reviews pointed out that you might have to drill more holes in the product. The screws that I previously had attached to the sheet metal did not need to be pulled in and I used the old ones as well. During the installation process, I spent only a few I bought an adjustable one for my 21" door, so be sure you've got the right size. This is a super strong person. That is exactly how it should have been designed in the first place. I feel it's a joke to be able to pull up such a heavy door with only three sheetmetal screws. Whether you install it before or after your garage door breaks, this system will protect it.
I had to wait for it for two days but it was well worth the wait. A garage door opener does come with a bracket, but some garage doors require this type of bracket so that the opener won't damage the door when it is used. In about five minutes, I was able to install this door arm and it works great. I added some thick washers in between the door arms to make it a little more sturdy, and I might add screws, washers, and nuts to make it better. Bolts screwed into the wall are not something I would trust.
There is no accurate description of its dimensions and it is only adjustable to certain sizes. As well as being narrower than other items found on Amazon, this product is also more compact. It did not work for me, and when I returned the product within the return window, the seller (365 Garage Door Parts) subtracted 30% from the purchase price stating that it was the cost to print the return label, which was not included in the return process nor was it disclosed.
Get free two-day shipping with Amazon Prime. Despite the cheap price at a big box store ($10, but oh well), I found a cheaper price at another website after 1 day of ordering. In less than 15 minutes, I had it installed. The only thing that bothered me is there was no cotter pin (just a key wire ring included). Using the old pin from the broken bracket, I attached the new In general, I am satisfied and hope that it will last for a long time.
Two of my neighbors recently had their garage doors damaged, and I wondered what caused it -- When our door cracked and a bolt came flying out, we realized that the garage door opener door was not sturdy. I have saved several hundred dollars by using this bracket rather than having to replace the door, and by simply adding reinforcement in the key load area where the door opener connects. There were multiple adjustment holes in the bracket so that it could be adjusted to fit perfectly. Features locking bolts to prevent accidental opening A flat head screwdriver or adjustable wrench may help lever the bracket into position. All you need is a little bit of time, two adjustable wrenches, and maybe two adjustable wrenches. While you are upgrading your door, you might want to spray all back door hinges, springs, wheels, and runners with some dry silicone grease spray. It will be easier to sleep with the noise reduced.
However, it did not solve It certainly improved the way the door opens, but the door still bounces from open to close, and I was hoping this would fix it. However, the door opens and closes even nicer, but I still find it to be much quieter. This is the only thing I am having trouble understanding. Perhaps the problem is simply the opener's inability to run at optimal speed. The bouncing back and forth of too much too soon is hard. In any case, this bracket was cheap, easily installed in five minutes, and was far superior to original equipment manufacturers' designs.
Thankfully, I was able to cut this down to fit the corner perfectly, and it turned out to be a bit bigger than I needed. As I had thought I had done, it would be best to measure the job properly. Then I found out this was a slightly too large piece of furniture. As luck would have it, I was able to cut it slightly to fit in place once again. This version should hold up to the original in terms of durability and strength. I highly recommend this part. Be sure to measure, measure again, and order to ensure a proper fit.
