You will need a hydraulic crimping machine, left and right hand lag screws, and a hydraulic crimping machine for cutting. To screw in the lag screws, I used a drill chuck. Make sure you buy more than one drill bit to get through 6 in. I had never mounted wire on a deck before, but this made it so much easier.
This cable will be perfect for my dog cable run and for powering my patio lights from my shed to my garage I'll also run some in my garage to enable me to paint some pieces while it's running.
You did a great job! Everything went smoothly with the metal posts I installed in my home for the banisters and stairways. Thank you for the product. I am very satisfied.
Using this cable for deck railings has been a great experience, I've been very satisfied with its overall strength, flexibility, and long-term durability. The cutters were an outstanding addition. I'd definitely buy it again if I needed more in the future.
Earlier this year, the deck was refinished, with old spindles removed and new cabling installed. A few minor glitches occurred during installation, but otherwise everything went smoothly. It gives the feeling that the deck area is much larger by allowing you to see through it. It has so far been considered a "wow" by those who have seen it. We were kept in touch the entire time, and the vendor asked if we had any questions, which was a bonus!.
Compared to tractor supply, this is way cheaper, and it's stainless steel wire! I've spent over $500 on steel wire from tractor supply.
A cable of good quality and strong enough to be used for Railing is excellent.
Although the cutter works well when cutting off a longer piece, it bends a lot when cutting off a short.
