For the past twenty years, I've only used durastilts. I had to replace a new pair of shoes after they were stolen. I looked for a long time, keeping an eye on the weight of all the stilts I saw. These stilts were almost identical in weight to medium durastilts by a few tenths of a pound. I wore them every day for a week, five days a week, for about six hours each day. Stilts are a major concern for me because I texture ceilings while working on drywall. These stilts are an excellent purchase in my opinion. I'll keep an eye out for these when I need a new pair of stilts. The leg straps are the only thing I don't care for, but I believe that is a matter of personal taste.
Do you need to put some things together? A vice, a torch, metalworking experience, a power drill, and some WD-40 are more like it. Just take a look at the photos - They provide detailed explanations. The First Problem - The bolt that secures the vertical pipe that runs up the lateral side into the lower bracket didn't even line up on one silt, so I had to drill the hole out with a quarter inch bit to get the bolt in. br>Second Edition - The lateral pole, which should easily slide into the upper leg support, had been bent. I was not going to be able to get that in. I had to take it to the garage, place it in the vice, heat the pipe with a torch, which burned off half of the paint, and bend the pipe with a crowbar so that the bottom pipe could slide in and out. So much for simple assembly. br>br> br>br>Third Edition - On both legs, the leg strap is completely useless. They both loosened as soon as I took one step. What good are "Premium stilts" if they require me to tighten the straps every two steps? br>br>I have a pair of 25-year-old aluminum sheet rocker stilts that aren't any more stable than the advertised "Premium magnesium stilts. " Complete nonsense. br>br>.
It's just right, and it's light enough to carry around.
Pro, I adore this tool.
Excellents are very light and do not weigh a lot, so you can quickly adapt to them.
