It is love at first sight, but I be perfect for outdoors and looks sturdy, but I didn't realize there were hard rubber nubs on the innards (which would help prevent dirt from getting into the machine). It is painful to walk on in sock feet, and I fear someone running barefoot on it would lose balance or fall if they did so. However, we shouldn't really go barefoot in general, but it is painful to walk on in socks. I was greatly pleased with the customer service. I was able to return within 24 hours. As much as I wanted to keep it, I regret the fact that it was so lightweight and seemed so.
But I bought it so I could get into my tool room with my electric wheelchair by placing it in the entrance of my tool room. This item slides all over the place very easily and always seems to be in motion. While I was able to access my tool room, the door unintentionally slid out of place when I tried to exit. The bottom of the drawer does not have anything to prevent I am confident you will find this ramp to be more than adequate if you are looking for a ramp to walk on. If you need a ramp to make it easier to get into a power chair, chances are this won't.
Due to my back issues, I needed a ramp that doesn't weigh too much to carry when I'm having a difficult time getting up and down it. This is the perfect portable ramp to get my hand track (dolly) into the house to get 5 gallon water bottles. The ramp is not too steep for someone who is that tall since the entry is only an 8" step. It is stable due to the thick rubber outdoor door mat that keeps it in place. Because the threshold of my door is uneven, I don't step on the ramp itself there is plenty of room in the doorway to step on the side of the ramp as I guide the dolly toward the house. My back is out of whack due to a back injury, so I can't lift most ramps that are 25 to 30 pounds.
It is positioned 5 inches higher than the garage floor on a concrete pad. As a result, it got stuck under my scooter when the wheel knocked it off the pad. Then I kept backing up and it would not come loose. After doing a terrible job of pushing it out of the ramp, I had to go to the back of the scooter and put it on freewheel mode. A nearly slipped down the stairs. I live by myself. The worst possible outcome. I ordered another aluminum suitcase ramp for more money, but I already have one that doesn't slip.
It takes just a few steps to get up and down this curb ramp. I have to line it up perfectly straight before it goes over the ramp because the inside width of the ramp is 23 7/8 inches, which is exactly the width from one tire to the other. I have to make sure it lines up perfectly straight in advance. In addition to the raised edges keeping it from sliding away, the raised dimples in the surface of this ramp make it very grippy for soft tires. Despite the weight of my snow blower weighing 240 pounds, the ramp handled it without a problem. In my garage, there is enough room to store the ramp right next to the blower. It weighs only 9 pounds. I no longer have to shovel that pathway, and I can clear the snow off it more quickly now that I have that ramp. Only complaint I have is that the inside width of the ramp had to be calculated. No listing can be found for it. Thankfully, I received a correct answer regarding this question from another commenter who had purchased the book from Amazon previously. Another benefit of the ramp is that the ramp is equipped with holes that prevent water and snow from collecting on the surface. This makes the ramp much more traction-friendly.
About 20 years ago, I bought one of these to use when we were having a lot of house work done, and after being used for a while This was very comforting to know they were still being made, and that they are There are many benefits to this piece of equipment, allowing the use of dolly wheels to move all manner of heavy or bulky items, even if Even though I have occasionally used it to span 2 steps to the garage side door, I would not.
Quite well made and very durable, this product will last for a long time. According to the description, it is exactly as described. The packaging was not appealing to me. The door was open when we arrived. A single piece of tape was applied to the top of the box where this heavy product appears to be packaged. It did not hold, as you might expect. The rest of the process went smoothly.
