There is no difference in quality between the two

For the money, this is a great step stool. This step stool doesn't wobble completely, as all the step stools I've used before do Although free, I don't feel unsafe as long as it doesn't wobble too much. This is not something I use as often as I'd like, but it will always prove helpful. Even if I had a choice between this and any name brand or home improvement store brand, I would still choose this. The quality of this one is exactly the same as any other one.

A 30 day period of not much use led to the failure of the item. There was an issue with the item the bolt holding the bottom step was My foot sensed it and it came out of under my foot when I stepped on it.
