Why doesn't every ladder have it? As part of my job, I have been throwing and working on extension ladders for more than 30 years now and feel very comfortable with When I saw the worktop on this ladder I thought that it was a gimmick that wasn't going to work out. I bought this ladder to use around my house and barn only, so when I saw the worktop I thought what the heck, why not? Yesterday, I used it to clean the gutters on my 2 story old farmhouse, extending it as far as it could go up to 28 ft. The feeling at the top was much more stable than on the way down. It felt like it wouldn't slide on my aluminum siding due to the wide work top with a rubber surface. When fully extended, extending an extension ladder can be a little slippery at the top because of the plastic end caps and the points of contact. I also appreciate the "V" notch in the center that allows you to attach it to a pole or the corner of a building. It is hard to tie off a ladder on a pole after climbing up it for the first time. For decades now I have been using extension ladders to climb poles to repair lights or install service risers. truly experienced the thrill of a near-death experience until you take an extension ladder and let it work its way around a pole. There seems to be a good deal of risk taken out of that job with this approach. I am happy with the final product as a whole. There is nothing better than a ladder like this.
Making the ladder more stable comes in handy in many circumstances, and having a place to put tools near the top of the ladder is also fantastic. In search of a ladder, I found it difficult to locate anyone who could supply it. I suggest you contact the vendor first to confirm that they do indeed have the ladders in stock. (I learned that 3 of 4 vendors I ordered from did NOT possess the ladders, and I had to cancel the order after 2 days.
I think this ladder is a great purchase. I hated it when they did that I appreciate that the roof has a notch at the top, which gives me access to areas of the roof that are otherwise not It is important to make sure that the rubber is evenly distributed across the ladder's top. Although it is not light, trying to film it even just a little while upright can be quite challenging, even with two people at times. My overall impression is that I would recommend the company to my friends and family.
Because some of the reviews complained that the ladder and its packaging were damaged, I was hesitant to buy it, but I have always been pleased with Amazon, so I bought it anyway. I received a ladder that wasn't even packaged, and it looks like it had been used and returned quite a bit. Looking closely, you'll see multiple shipping labels on the ladder in the first and second pictures. A faded shipping label is shown in the third image, and a blank label is shown on top of a previous shipping label in the fourth image. The ladder has other scrapes as well. In order to get a used ladder on Amazon, I had to pay a premium price. Yard sales are the place where I would have found a used ladder if I wanted one.

In my estimation, Louisville may be the one who makes the extension ladders for Dewalt.
