Although the product is thick and durable, I discovered that the last 68 inches of the roll was taped to the rest of the roll as a separate piece. It wasn't until I got to the end of the roll that I realized what had happened. I'm working on a project that calls for 72 inches of it. So now I'm really annoyed that there will be a taped seam between the 68-inch and 4-inch sections.
After two months of use outside, here's an update. This product, in my opinion, is not designed for use in cold weather. I live in New Jersey, where the weather ranges from 6a to 6b. After two months, about a third of the plastic coating has peeled away. The reflective foil was ripped away from the plastic in some places. br>br>I purchased this roll of insulation to provide extra warmth on the coldest winter nights. It does exactly what it says.
Many people believe that this "bubble wrap" insulation is useless and wasteful of money. They either haven't used it before or haven't used it correctly! This is fantastic material! In my cargo trailer, I used it. I'm really happy with my camper conversion! It's light in weight and has an R-rating. A single layer requires 8 points. My grade is an R-. R-, R-, R-, R-, R-, R-, R-, R- There are 16 holes in the walls, as well as an R-. There are eight people on the ground level. To keep it in place, I used the same glue that is used to secure vinyl counter tops. It's a bit excessive, but it won't move! It comes highly recommended from me!.
Arrived on time, well packaged, in good condition, and in the advertised size. Purchased to line the wind shield area of a motor coach in Florida to reduce the sun's thermal impact, this product is of good quality, easy to cut and fold to the required shape and size, looks good, and does the job.
Temperatures are cold for months at nearly 10,000 feet in the Rockies. This insulation aids in the retention of heat in my greenhouses, allowing me to start my seeds earlier in the season. This is the first time I've used it, so we'll see how well it performs.
It does an excellent job of keeping the heat out. Use in the driver's and passenger's windows as well. You can easily cut the material to fit your needs.
It's light and airy, but it appears to reflect heat. We used it to line the roof of a metal pergola in Texas to help reflect heat during the hot summer months. br>Easy to cut and mold to the desired position.
I needed a waterproof solution to insulate my plenum after the insulation became saturated with water. This, combined with the addition of foam board, improved the situation. Thank you so much for creating such a wonderful product.
