Questions & Answers

Is it going to be difficult to get things in and out of my attic if I store them there?

Because it protrudes above the attic floor when installed, it would make it more difficult to store larger items.

Is there a kit for twenty people? Openings measuring 5 inches wide?

I looked all over but couldn't find any. Sorry.

Is this going to fit in an attic opening without a pull-down ladder?

Because the cover extends several inches "above" the attic opening, I believe it should. When the cover is closed, my ladder fits snugly inside.

"Fits openings up to 25" x 54" x 11", according to the description. How do you make the necessary adjustments to fit a 22? In a wide opening, 5?

Because it's stapled on, all you have to do now is fold it over and adjust it to fit. There will be some left over, so make the best of it! It's also very effective! My mother-in-law informed me that there is no longer any draft at all!

I give it a big thumbs up
5/5

Spiders, all eight legs are DOWN. RECOMMENDATION! This is something I really enjoy. Yes. True, I was completely enthralled by an attic door cover. In my hallway, there was a small gap between the attic door and the ceiling. During the winter, it allowed cold air in, and in the summer, it allowed all of my air conditioning to escape. That, however, was not the reason I purchased it. I bought it to keep spiders out of my bathroom after they crawled through a crack in the wall. bedrooms that are next to each other And, believe me when I say this, I'll tell you something. IT WORKS IN THE SAME MANNER AS FORT KNOX. Nothing gets in, nothing gets out, and nothing gets crawled in or out. It's nothing short of miraculous. In terms of the product itself, it was very simple to set up, taking only about 15 minutes. I used a staple gun that needed to be manually operated. When installed, it was a perfect fit and looked fantastic. Tye material is similar to that of a lunchbox cooler. However, it is thin and insulated. It's reflective and does a good job of keeping its shape. I believe it will last a long time, and I'm glad I went with this brand instead of the more expensive ones. It's an attic cover, so it won't be exposed to the elements. To 'get err done,' it's more than sufficient. 'Since the installation, the hall has been warmer, and there have been no attic spiders chilling in my bathroom. ' I strongly suggest it!.

Simple to set up! Yesterday afternoon, I received your package
5/5

I put off installing because it was too hot, so I waited until this morning. A pot of coffee was started, and the attic door was opened. The ladder edge (the 1 x 4 that is an actual part of the ladder screwed into the ceiling joist) was covered with the cover. It was so comfortable to wear that I considered leaving it alone. In any case, I stapled it. Before my coffee had even finished, I was done. I lowered the ladder a few hours later to take a picture, and the first thing I noticed was that I didn't feel the big gust of hot air coming down. This product comes highly recommended!.

The cover is fantastic! Because our house is 19 years old, the attic door doesn't quite sit flush with the ceiling as it ages, allowing even more heat and dust to escape
5/5

br>br>I chose this one because it was a little heavier than the competition, which is a plus when it comes to covering the attic hatch. I completed the task in minutes using a Powershot and T50 staples. Get it now!br>br>.

Immediately better
5/5

The pull down stairs on the second floor landing get noticeably hotter in the summer than the rest of the house, so I got this. The heat from upstairs can be felt as you walk past the stairwell on the first floor. This space is also located between the two upstairs bedrooms, just to the left of the AC vent. The attic door was reading 96 closed and the attic temperature was 120 prior to installation (which took less than 5 minutes). I slid this in, stapled it in place, and re-closed the stairwell. The door temperature immediately dropped to 86 degrees and stayed there for the next hour or so before returning to normal.

This is an excellent first step, but it is not a complete solution
3/5

The item is extremely THIN - I've seen cars with thicker heat deflectors on the windshields. I don't think I'll be able to control the temperature, so I'll have to add some foam to help with that. Mine wasn't even close to being square. Because the tail end was so wide, I had to pleat it to seal it. I took a measurement of the opening - It was a faulty product. I don't think this solution will last more than a few summers because there is a small WOVEN edge to the bottom of the cover for the staples, which SHOULD have been rubberized at the very least. I used spray foam to seal all cracks, then used half-width aluminum foil tape to cover the fillings and run it up the frame. After that, I stapled the cover in place and then centered another layer of aluminum foil OVER the staples in the woven edge. It's a good seal, but as I previously stated, it's too thin to provide any temperature control without the use of additional insulation. You might want to check out the Environmental Protection Agency's website, where they have an attic hatch project that will improve temperature control.

Replacement, which is superior to the previous model we had
5/5

This is the second time we've done a roof over the attic - The first one was installed backwards, with the high point at the top and the low point at the back, resulting in excessive wear. The first cover had zippers that ran all the way across the back with no stop, making them prone to coming apart, which I was ultimately unable to fix the last time; it was also split in the back and the sides were taped together. This version, I'm happy to report, has zippers that don't run the entire length of the back, and the bottom of the back is one continuous piece. I'm also pleased to report that I took my time installing this one and did so in a logical manner - Backwards is not a good thing.

It works well and is simple to set up
5/5

I anticipated that installing this product would be difficult; that it would sway back and forth. It was stiff enough after unfolding, though, that stapling it up was simple. br>br>An IR thermometer showed a 9-degree difference between the nearby ceiling and the attic panel before installation. The difference was approximately 2 degrees after installation. My insulation is R30, so this is only half as effective, but it was clearly around R1 previously. I'm not sure why I didn't think of this years ago.

It's a bit pricey for what it is, but it gets the job done
4/5

It's a little pricey, and it's basically bubble wrap with a zipper, but it does the job and is essential for attic access doors. Once installed, the next time you have to go into your attic, you'll notice a significant temperature difference.
