I admit that I didn't measure because I hadn't considered sizing, but the included stapler was the main reason I bought this one. Because I don't have a stapler, I kept looking at these and pondering how I was going to attach it. I received the package and stapled it in place in less than 6 minutes. I think that was the fastest installation I've ever done. It's a little tight because I didn't measure it. There's a small amount of air leakage in the corners. To fill in the gaps, I'm going to use hard insulation and tape. br>br>Once I had it installed, I could tell it made a difference right away. When I opened the stairwell, I wasn't greeted by a blast of scorching hot air from the attic. Only time will tell, but I believe it will be beneficial. Is it going to be enough to solve the problem? I'll probably add some hard foam insulation to the inside of the wood and then re-finish it, but it's a good cheap start. It should be stapled to that. That's because I'm a little more snug.

Although having an attic access in your home isn't ideal, this product does help to create a better barrier between you and the varying temperatures of your attic. These unsealed and typically uninsulated access doors allow a lot of heat and cooling to escape. Not to mention that attic spaces are essentially open to the environment outside the home to allow for air flow, which can be a major issue for allergy sufferers because the access door is not sealed, allowing dust, pollen, and other allergens to pass through. Using a good heavy duty staple gun, the installation took only 10 minutes.

This is a substantial, well-made item. It's fairly easy to set up, but because there's a lot of reaching, I recommend having someone nearby just in case. I stapled this up with relative ease, and even before I zipped it up, you could tell a difference with each staple I put in! This is excellent quality and value for the price, and I strongly suggest it. It'll save a lot of energy. The house appears to be quieter, and there is no longer a strong draft; instead, there is warmth. Now the snow is staying on the roof!.

It's extremely simple to set up. Good fit in standard attic stair opening, with enough flexibility to get it snug with minor variations in your home. To improve the air seal, I also recommend spray foaming the outside. br>br>Because the R value isn't very high, I added some backed fibreglass to the top. This product is best used solely for airtightness. Because the weight of the fibreglass causes it to sag, I'd suggest lining it with rigid foam on the sides and adhering it to keep it upright. Even if you don't do any of those things, it's still a good product that will keep your conditioned space from leaking into the attic.

The is an excellent product for preventing drafts, but the R15 is unavailable. They're claiming a value of three. To keep the cover warm, I had to add extra fiberglass to the top. That said, the product was perfect, and the staple gun worked (not perfectly, but it got the job done). I put it together the same day I got it. So far, the zipper has proven to be reliable.

The zippers appear to be sturdy, and the product appears to be of good quality. I bought it because we have an old house and every summer a couple of bats get into our attic and seem to enjoy the air or light that comes from the attic door, so they hang out there and leave their waste all over the attic ladder. It's covered this way, and the insulation is a bonus. In just a few minutes, it was up and running.

I bought it for my first house, which I'm renovating to make more energy efficient. I had previously used a subpar attic stair cover, and this one was well worth the money. It's built to last. The attic door is simple to open. Above all, it immediately stopped the draft from the attic stairs.

I intended to install an insulation door, but I didn't have the time. I came across this product and decided to buy it despite my reservations. I even put it up after a 10-day wait. I finally decided to put it in because it was getting cold. br>br>It took me about 3 minutes to complete the installation. I took it from the bag and put it on my desk. Staples should be placed in a stapler. I stapled the cover into place in the frame. When I was putting it up, I could tell a difference. br>br>Recommendation: br>br> Use insulating tape on the edges, such as thermal tape. br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br.
