An Easy and Simple Way to Insulate Attics Stairs

In addition to increasing my home's energy efficiency and comfort, I have been researching how to do so. The subjects of attic fans, radiant barriers, spray foam, insulation, etc. have been mentioned in many books and articles. With the installation of this insulation along with the radiant barrier, my attic stairs have been very well protected. I was able to use my staple gun to install this product using a staple in my opening in the attic. I probably installed it in five minutes or less. It was immediately apparent that my computer had been upgraded. My hand used to feel hot coming from the attic when I put it near the opening. As of now, I have no feeling. As far as I know, it doesn't provide that information The product certainly delivers the value it claims to, but I can confidently say that it is trustworthy.

It is easy to Simple to set up

I followed the directions and had the tent up in no time. A strip of aluminum tape was also added to the edges of the bag for sealing. By leaving the string for the attic light in a small gap between the zippers, I was able to use it. In order to determine the temperature around the attic door edges prior to installing the tent, I used my thermal probe. It was 86 degrees when I measured it. 74 degrees were measured around the edges of the attic door after I put up the tent and turned the AC back on. As with the ceiling temperature around the door, this was also the temperature in the room. Worked like a charm.

I would like it to work better, but it's not perfect

It is designed so that the user can only access the attic from one side of the stairs, despite the product's great insulation. I have to climb on both sides of the opening in my attic. Until I build something better, this is a good stop gap.
