It takes less than a quarter of an hour to install. It was the first time we were warm in this room since years before installing it before the huge freeze hit. You will save money with this cover and the cost will be well worth it.
In fact, I install insulation as a part of my job and my customer really likes this product and appreciates the value it offers. You can actually SAVE money and get more life out of your a/c equipment by using this product.
You should always be aware of your step when climbing a ladder. To achieve this, the ladder frame needs to be stapled to the black seam. The staple should not be affixed to the rough opening or the paper will not There is a rounded end where a zipper should be, not a square one. In order to increase sealant between this cover and the ladder opening, I situated some BAT insulation between the two. Be sure to wear gloves if you intend to apply aluminum tape over staples. If you rub the tape down in place, you might get a sliver in your finger like I did. Generally speaking, I estimate that it takes about an hour to do, but I did not rush. It is my opinion that you should spend more time sealing this cover, so it will perform better. Like I said, it is not a bad product, just be careful when using a ladder and take it slow.
