Questions & Answers

When the heater is on, how much power does it consume?

It is estimated that the total power consumption is 1340 Watts per unit. An element with a power output of 1300 watts is used as the heating As the heater has a thermal cutoff, it does not overheat. This was one factor that drew me to purchase it.

Is there any 3-in-1 product that I can use Is there a special switch I need or can I use a toggle switch?

In addition to having three switches, we also used a timer for 10 minutes. I don't have to worry about the heater being on all day during the school day as long as my kids are in

Would an annual heating bill of $190 be overkill for a small bathroom 12 feet by 5 feet in size?

It is not overkill, in my opinion. The heat output is a bit disappointing, to be honest. There are a couple of small bathrooms and a closet area in our house and this fan cannot handle the heat

A low-watt night light bulb is built into this unit. Does it have an additional outlet for it?

This does not mean you need to replace it, but we have done so A LED bulb with a low wattage and low lumens was included.

I am not able to get any answers from him (the funny thing is that I did submit the information) other than being told that I should have submitted it properly, so it would not be taking this long
3/5

They were purchased in December 2017 and I have two of them. Installed by a licensed electrical contractor, the units are in my downstairs bathrooms. I did not use the fans until I moved in three weeks ago ( June 2018) since I am doing a full house remodel. It works on one fan and doesn't on the other. I have a fan that doesn't work in my master bath, of course. While researching through Amazon, I found that there is a warranty on the vent. During the week of June 14-18, I contacted the warranty department. My car is still not "approved" for a replacement as of today 6/29/2018, and I am getting the runaround from the warranty department. The issue is described in emails, videos, and pictures, which I have submitted. While the licensed electrician was there to assist, I had him call the electrician directly in an effort to overcome the problem. It appears that I have not filled out "the form" in full, because the warranty department keeps telling me I have not done so. Remember that this was a one-line email from 1 to 7 and not a "form. " For me to answer, there are a few questions on paper. Where I answered all the questions Although the copied email was in my inbox, I didn't type them correctly into "the form" (email). I also didn't receive the video even though the copy of it was in my told 2 days ago that my submitted information was correct (hallelujah) and that it would take up to 1 week for me to hear back. I had to wait 2 days for my application to be approved. Apparently I still haven't heard if my request has been approved despite the fact that today is my second day. There is NEVER a supervisor to speak with when I call the 888 number to speak with someone. After waiting on hold for 10 minutes without an answer, the call is "dropped", and I am placed on hold for 10 minutes. My fear is that this "warranty" is merely a scam and I will not receive a functioning unit. "Ruben" does respond to my emails (when it is convenient for him) but all he can tell me is that if I submitted the information properly, my application wouldn't be taking this long (the funny thing is that The only thing I need is a replacement unit to fill in the hole in my master bathroom so my final inspection can be completed. You can read this at Amazon or Delta, but if anyone has authority to read this at either place, please let me know. The old, non-working one will be sent back to you!.

The way this is written really appeals to me
5/5

My favorite part was how easy it was to install. You can find here. In a nutshell My favorite part of this is the music. My favorite part was how easy it was to install. A replacement that is almost right on par with the original. The old one must have been a Delta, too? The unit is still in working order after 20 years or more, but I needed something new with a Although the exhaust fan as well as the heater are running, this unit remains very quiet. We have pleasantly warm air coming from the heater, and quite a bit of it too! There is a lot of force in the blower! In order to install the heater correctly, you need to plan out the direction in which it will blow, so make sure you plan that out. You need to decide the direction in which you want the heat to go. Unlike a straight-down wind, the wind blows in a westerly direction The front and back of the head are slightly different. If you are in the shower, you could aim the heat there. You can see how quiet it is in the video that I will add. As far as the light socket is concerned, I was able to replace the old one with one from the old unit I wanted my 13watt Daylight LED instead of the 26watt curly bulb that came with it. Light that is brighter and cleaner, but uses less energy. If anyone installs an old 100W incandescent, make sure it's not! The special bulb socket is most likely the reason why Delta uses it! A 100-word summary The light cover would be burned up by a 100 watt bulb. (That is exactly what happened on my previous light cover!.

There was nothing spectacular about what I was expecting, but this was far from satisfactory
3/5

Putting the installation together was a headache. There was nothing spectacular about what I was expecting, but this was far from satisfactory. Putting the installation together was a headache. My experience ranges from installing toilets, sinks, faucets, stoves, ceiling fans, light fixtures, to extensive drywall repair and painting a house. As far as this type of thing goes, I am no novice. The item I installed was the worst one I've ever installed based on what it is. Housing includes a 1/4 inch lip meant to pull flush with the drywall in order to ensure that the face of the housing is tightly mounted to it. It is necessary for the opening in the ceiling to be only so large for the lip to be effective. As soon as the arms are used on the track, they cannot fit through the hole with the unit. When you have 16 on center joists, you do not have enough room to install the arm once it has been installed. ultimately decided to change the arms so that the hole did not have to be enlarged. In the directions, the colors of the wires were not consistent with the diagram, resulting in several unnecessary trips to the breaker panel to be able to work on It was my intention to use a timer on the ventilation fans but despite the fact that it is wired exactly the same way as our other bathroom, it would not effectively turn off when I wired the timer. two timers, both of which caused the fan to run slowly when it should have been off when the timer should have shut it The timers in one bathroom worked only when the ventilation fan was running, so that was not the problem with Therefore it wasn't an electrical issue with the switch, as it worked with a traditional switch. In order for the fan to be run for an hour after a shower, to combat the mold issues in the bathroom, it had to be run for at least an hour. As long as the heater pushed heat, it was fine. It was not very effective (with the traditional switch) as the shower head was only 6 feet from the vent. The vent was not noticeable when showering despite the fact that it Despite the light being OK, the housing is porous, which causes the light to shine through the vents, allowing the heater and vent fans to be seen. There was no reference to incompatibility with modern switches in the directions, and none of the installation issues were addressed. Had the installation not been so irksome, everything may have gone more smoothly for me. The product would have been returned to me if I had the time, but I ordered it months before I had time to install it, so there is no way for me to do Spend a little more, not less, so that you don't waste your time and money. Because this one I won't be able to live without, I will spend more.

Wiring diagram is poor
3/5

It is not clear what's going on in the wiring diagram. A color-coded system should be used. Clarity is extremely important when it comes to This heater is expensive to install, so most people cannot afford it. put together my own diagrams for my own work, and this is the poorest one I've It has never been an issue for me to do my own wringing for 54 years. Shaded areas should be identified, as well as the wires in this drawing. If you are guessing, it means you are not paying attention. To have a company like this spit out such a poor quality instruction means their products need to be scrutinized.
