This product contains water, which is bad since it can splatter on the condenser motor and ruin it. Rather than using the evaporator coil cleaner, use the condenser coil cleaner.
I have ac, so yes, it did. It took me a few minutes to spray it all over the coil and let it work and then spray it again to make sure it was My final step was by using a pump sprayer to spray a fine mist of warm water on everything. You should also take the time to clean the filter and wipe down vents as far as possible. Simple green is what I used for this. I've noticed that mold isn't as musty as it used to be
With no need to remove your coil, this is a great coil cleaner without having to rinse it, it does a superb It is important to remember that changing your filter on a regular basis and maintaining your equipment properly can extend its life.

My top floor of a three story home has been having AC trouble, and a recent AC guy noted that the coils on the outside condenser unit were completely covered in debris (the home was new when I bought it 3 or 4 years ago, but was never serviced since then). "Very expensive chemicals" were required to clean it, he generously offered to clean it for $185. Google suggested that I could do this myself after about 15 seconds The only things that have been needed are two cans of this spray and a few minutes of my time. After awhile, I had coils that looked solid fuzz/mud/gunk that actually showed metal! The following is what I did I. *. 1. A breaker was turned off to turn off the condenser/fan. Even though I wasn't sure if this was necessary, I figured it would be better to be Even though this is an outside unit, it is exposed to rain and other elements. But why take a chance? The second is. Then sprayed on the product. As a result, it will take some time. I would have really liked four bottles of the stuff, considering that my unit (for a 3 story, 2600ft townhouse) has 4 walls and a complete wraparound coil system. It would have been better if there had been more coverage or a second pass on both mine. *** 3. After waiting 15 minutes, I redeemed my gift card minutes has passed. There was definitely some metal showing through (incredible), but it was not clean in any way. The fourth point. Cleaning the toilet bowl with a toilet bowl cleaner brush followed by rinsing with a water hose and dragging the brush along the fins (top to bottom to keep from mending them over). It took a while for a lot of sludge as well as fine dust to run out. As a result, one might suggest that the "leave on and walk away" method isn't the best for extremely dirty units (such as mine), unless you have the option of doing more. Using an air compressor to help clear the fins of an interior coil is also a great option where no water is available. As far as I know, I will be adding it to my permanent stock and yearly plan as soon as it becomes available. I will update once I determine how much impact cleaning the coils had on my air conditioning system.
My feeling is that reviews of these types of products will be more helpful if they are accompanied by pictures, so I took some before and after shots. My AC looked like mine, but most of the dirt came off with a soft bristle brush, so if you don't buy this product, I would suggest that at least brush it off occasionally with a soft brush if yours look like mine. With or without a flash the AC looks extraordinary, but with a flash you can clearly see there is still dirt in between the blades, but the difference between the before and after pictures is still pretty pronounced. I may purchase this product again in the future because it did a good job for me.
When I turned on the air conditioning in my 2010 VW Jetta, the engine stunk when I turned the AC on. I used this to fix the issue. Using the cabin filter box, I was able to access the evaporator. The evaporator was coated well, the cabin filter access cover was put back on, and then the recirculation fan was set to the highest setting, forcing air Now it's been a couple months, and the smell hasn't come back. I am pleased with the outcome for my family as well.
I was given instructions on how to use this stuff by my local AC guy. for the exterior coils and not the interior By using a small soft brush to remove the excess, I brushed the coils down then sprayed them down. Once the coils had rested for 30 minutes, I brushed them Water was sprayed down to rinse and I think it was effective. Since I have pets, my AC guy suggested I brush the excess hair off the coils every time I change the filter to avoid excess buildup. Then I use this about three times a year.
As I watched the guys spray something similar, and use the toilet bowl brush to clean their fins, I felt a bit jealous. As far as I could tell, I could purchase the stuff and do it myself every other week or so, and it would keep the smell in check. As soon as they left, the smell was still lingering, so I searched and found these items. Once I got my unit, I sprayed it (heavily) inside and outside of the window unit and let it sit for about half an hour. Once the units were turned back on, the smell disappeared! To get the best results, let it sit for a couple hours without turning on the unit, and then spray the bejesus out of We have used the can for three initial sprays and for upkeep sprays (total of four).
As far as coil cleaning goes, the product is great. There are a few things I want to suggest/complain about. I. *. 1. Probably the biggest issue will be getting the can inside coils that are still in the house, due to its size. Would be great if the can was a different size so I could buy more of them or even better if it came with a nozzle that would allow me to get into tight places. As an accessory for the can, they do sell an actual nozzle called the Talon that sells online for 37 dollars that is ridiculous, but I would rather get a simple rubber nozzle that doesn't fall off for 10 cents. Please note 2. There is an incredibly strong smell of lemon in the "great lemon scent. ". This cleaner does great work, but after using it I hope you do not need to be inside the house for several hours. I'd rather put my oven on self-cleaning than deal with this stench all day. The next time I will spray it outside and leave the windows open before I leave. Having said that, it still gets 4 stars because it does an excellent job as a cleanser, it foams well, cleans well and does not leave scum behind, just have a few.
When using this product, it smells strongly of lemon but performs the task perfectly. We have enough energy to run 2 clean 12,000 BTU air conditioners. To see the before and after pictures, I have unloaded 2 files.
