Put up a bird feeder instead of the post cap! Three of these are now in my possession

This is the first one I used as the post base it should have been. One of them I've glued upside down to a flat bottom bird feeder Sorry, I don't have a picture of them, but they fit snugly on top of the post and I can change feeders or remove them to clean them at any time. A second will be added later, if it is.

I am happy with the finished product. I only have a complaint about the aluminum screws, they are inferior. If you put any pressure on them, they just melt. To replace all of them, I had to buy new ones.

I have exact 4x4 posts on my porch, but they are not 4x4 either

My porch posts are a bit smaller than four by four, so the size is exactly 4 by 4. The size of the squares was not measured and I just assumed they were one was a bit smaller that would fit snugly on a standard 4x4 post (which is about one half inch smaller than 4 inches).
