Besides being easy to install I found that the smaller posts needed separate adapters in the packaging, which was disappointing. I rated this product average because it does not seem to be very durable or have a very premium appearance, it is obvious that these are plastic lights. I was pleasantly surprised to see the lights working as expected and turning on automatically at dusk. When using these, I found they did not provide any motion detection, and the light they release is enough to see your keys or to provide some ambient light, but it is not significant enough to use as your You will have to consider that the posts will not fit on a more standard gate size post that is 6" x 6".

Taking them apart and installing them was really easy. A pair of screws was all it took. The posts of my fence sat on top of them. These are very bright, which is quite nice. They bring a lot of light into the room. I bought more for the rest of my yard since I liked them so much.
When I first checked out the light, I was disappointed. I wanted a two-battery light and this wasn't available. Although the light output from one battery was quite impressive, I was surprised to find how much they put out. A bright white light used to be provided by the lights previously in use, using two battery packs. There is a soft, slightly yellow glow to these lights. Over a week has passed since they were put into use and all six continue to function normally. As opposed to my old lights, which had glass lenses, these have plastic lenses.
